I will attempt to summarize some main points of the storyline. It will not prove easy, and I hereby apologize for every detail I have missed out. The character sheats will be omitted, since you can find them in the (OOC) if you wish, and you can learn more of the characters in the storyline, than every formal summary. I will only add a rather brief introduction concerning them.

List of actors and actresses:
**********************

Tallian Swift (DM): A well-educated Human Mage, a loyal and trusted member of the Magocracy of Dalaran. Having already participated in numerous travels across Lordaeron, he is currently seeking to seeking to expand his arcane knowledge and powers, as well as helping any fellow Alliance adventurer, who wander into Lordaeron. (atleast that is what he wants everyone to think..)

Nork 'the Traveller': The one and only one truely evil character in the story, the Gnome Warlock was once just a simple refugee from Gnomeregan. Yet the bitter years of banishment have turned him into a power-hungry fel-caster, who would even die just to see his vengeance fulfilled upon his former master, now his greatest enemy.

Enalia Naendel: A Night Elven traveller, a skilled Huntress and dedicated explorer, she is a newcomer to both Azeroth and Lordaeron. Having spent much of her life in the mysthical forests of Ashenvale with her spiderling companion, Actaron, now she seeks both to follow an obscure prophecy, and new adventures in the Eastern Kingdoms.

Arinnaya Goldweaver: A devout follower of the Holy Light, this young Human Priestess seeks to ease the life of refugees from Lordaeron, while pursuing foolhardy actions against the tides of Undeath. Originally born into a noble family, she enjoys both seeking lore, and telling tales to those who would listen.

There are many NPCs in the story. I shall only mention few of them, that still play descisive role. Most of them used to be characters by people that left the forum. Still, they are continued to remain part of the story, handled by us.

Brandor: A surefooted explorer, and a caring comapnion this dwarf would never stop without ensuring the group being in safety. Accompanied by his shardtooth bear named Paw, he is as fearless as noble. Whatever his intentions or orders from the Explorers' Guild are, they are still unrevealed.

Aeralin: A sole remaining member of the once great Ranger Batallion of Silvermoon, this High Elf has almost unparalelled craftiness, when it comes to fire a bow. Accompanied by a bear companion, she will tag along with any adventuring group accepting her.

Arcantis(NPC): Once a high-ranking Seer in Azjol-Nerub, now only a spiderkin seeking refuge amongst the turmoil of war that still ravages Lordaeron. He usually minds his own business only, but now he has a greater task to accomplish: to save his own twin brother from the crippling curse he suffered many decades ago, stunting his growth and leaving him as a half-living cocoon.

All began on a rainy afternoon, in Old Hillsbrad. Being rather a village than a true city, this township had nothing but a few dozens of houses, and a tavern. All those passing by have sought shelter from the rain in the 'Two Griffons'.

In a dark corner, a strange creature lurked: a Nerubian, who insisted upon being admitted into the inn. He was waiting patiently for something... or rather someone. As the Tavern was filled with all kind of folks - locals as well as travellers, they have begun to talk. The Nerubian has introduced himself as Arcantis, seeking for a contact - a dalaran mage expert in lifting dark magics.

In the middle of the stormy night, accompanied by a wild peel of lightning, a man stepped into the inn, fatally wounded by arrows, collapsing in the door. Panic erupted, many guests fled, straight into the darkness. There was no clue who did this depsicable act, as well as no cure for the wounds of the mage.

After some serious debate with eachother, the travellers decided to retreat into the sleeping-rooms of the tavern. However, a strange voice has awakened them in the middle of the night. Something coming from the cellar, where the body of the dead mage was taken by the servants of Roric (the innkeeper NPC). Enalia opened the door, and much to his horror, the freshly fallen archmage was teaming with Undeath, walking around as a mindless zombie! Yelling for aid, all the others have avoken, and the gnomish tinker-mage Oscald has successfully blasted it into pieces by his super-explosives. However, the burned remains of the corpse barely reveal anything, so the aventurers have set out for Southshore, in order to get help from the local authorities. Feanaro the Nigh Elf and Oscald did not accompany them, but went on their own path. To seek for the Worg pet, who was unjustfully punished - badly wounded - by the others because of a misunderstandage... There were some items gone missing that day - apparently a thief at work - but they had enormous luck: Tallian just stumbled upon the criminal as he was about to run off with the stolen goods!

As they went on to Southshore, they met several other travellers. There was a Paladin - obviouslly a high-ranking inquisitor - they met named Garreth. IT was almost nighfall as they stumbled upon a dark gnome (a warlock in secret) looking for adventure, just before they entered the buzzing town of Southshore. It was still teaming with life, so not all the adventures went to sleep in the first inn. Inside the 'Lordaeron Brew' they met a new fellow named Brandor, and Nork explained his grandious plans of fighting the evil with evil, and making an attack on the Scourge in its own homeland. Though it was all but a lie, the gnome was a skilled orator to fool everyone.

Tallian apparently visited a secret shop manatined by some kinderd mage - but it turned out, that the wizard was not-so-hospitable as was expected. The wizard imprisoned Tallian by magic means, with some mad purpose. Fortunately, the young mage succeeded in breaking free, and used his concentration to unleash a deadly fireball against his captor. The prison plane was immediately dispelled, and he found himself just in front of the inn.

Meanwhile, Nork, who could not turn to sleep, walked aimlessly through the abandoned docks. On the coast, he discovered a mysterious vial, with some potion in it. Later it was identified as a potent poison by Enalia, who had considerable knowledge in alchemy of plants.

Arinnaya and the Paladin tried to contact the local authorities for help - yet they met closed ears. While Arcantis, the Nerubian disappered since the day before, tracelessly.

Throgh luck - and the sniff of Actaron, the travellers have entered a shop, whose keeper was eager to tell them about the horrifying customer he had two days ago. He stated that he might have been an undead under cover, and the correspondence with the mysterious murder - the Archmage has also stopped here two days ago - was all too clear to see. Enalia has even found a poisoned arrowhead, left behind the undead agent in his haste.

As the closes place where one expected the Undead to have their base was the cursed town of Tarren Mill, Arinnaya has urged the others to investigate the matter closer. All the others, save Tallian - who left for Dalaran - agreed to the plan, and so they started out - rather foolishly.

On the road, they met some militia-men, fighting with Arcantis in close combat! They were not pleased about anyone coming to aid the spiderkin (whom they beleaved to be undead), and so the battle was inevitable. The men-at-arms died rather easily, and only upon inspection became it clearer, that they were bandits, in fact, belonging to the group 'Syndicate'.

When they reached the town of Tarren Mill, it was laready late night. Unfortunately, they stumbled upon a Deathguard patrol on the way. Arcantis tried to fool the Undead by stating that he is an emissary from Stratholme, but it was clearly a bad move. Yet the Undead did not take him as captive, fearing for a trap.

All the others have continued their sneaky pass into the heart of Undeath in Hillsbrad Foothills... But they could not avoid the second patrol of fully-armed guards, and were only saved by Brandor's reflexes. They have fled into a forlorn barn, standing empty. They hid inside the crumbling building, where they overheard the guards marching around, as well as some Undead residents talking about secretively about many things....

Meanwhile, Tallian has reached Dalaran, hearing news of a captured Naga.

<And that is where the story currently stands>

In Dalaran Tallian informs the high council of the threat that is emanating from Northrend. In the meanwhile the party is seeking a way to leave the barn and Tarren mill behind them. Tho they needed some kind of diversion if they would attempt such a thing. And one also came, Norks little imp minion, that he had set out before managed to set a house on fire. and the flames then spread to others nearby.

Tallian had retreated back to his room in Dalaran and there quickly decided to come to his fellow companions aid, even if he had earlier said that he would not.
As he was familliar with the surroundings on Tarren mill he could teleport hiimself close to the town.
From inside the barn the party decided that it was time to run, and so they did, between houses and squares. Untill distster struck. Norks little imp had been detected by guards and was now running back towards his master, and in his heels a continent of deatguards also followed.

But the party was at that moment still not aware of the danger comming their way, They had also stopped just outside a, might be, empty house, tho it was not. Inside a undead mage and his underlings seemed to be buisy with some sort of experiment, but the burst of sudden activity and alarming sounds made them stop and head for the door. The party had to hide behind another houses corner, knowing well that it was a bad spot..

in the meanwhile Tallian had sneaked into the town and tried to locate his friends.

The imp and his followers had then finally cought up with the party, and the undead mage had also stepped out onto the muddy street outside his labratory. Time was running out and the guards closed in on the companions hidingspot. it was at that point Tallian found them, or atleast he found the guards running towards them, he reacted instantly and conjured fourth a flamestrike that quickly dispatched the soldiers. But it was not safe yet, the undead mage had stepped out to challange Tallian, tho it was a bad thing todo....

the street was now empty saved for small piles of ash and burnt corpses, the party retreated inside the house, and to their surprise found arcantis held prisoner. after a mad rush they then regroup outise town and then walked to leave the dreaded place behind them.

Next morning they felt relatively safe and decided to set up a camp to rest from the privious days challanges, tho it did not take long before someone.. mainly Arinnaya found a cave not far from their campsite.
They investigated the said cave whitout finding anything and things looked to go back to normal again...

until a gigantic yeti attacked, comming from the "empty" cave, after a hard battle the party managed to slay the beast, only to find out that it was something amiss with it..
So Tallian decided that go back to the caves and there he found, with the help of Brador, a tunnel.

And as it now looks Tallian has ventured inside the Tunnel and sent Brador back to ggather the rest so they could follow.

(stay tuned)

Can someone please upgrade his to the current story? Many thanks.
EDIT: Could someone also please tell me where in the timeline does this story belong to? ( As in pre-war3, WoW timeline etc.)
Or maybe what has happened in the world, have Dalaran and Quel'Thalas fallen etc.?
(doesn't seem like it)
