I'm currently at level 225 for fishing and during the course of my various fishing trips I've caught a 17 pound catfish, a 19 pound catfish and two 22 pound catfishes. Does anyone know if there's any significance to these fish? They all say to "use in off hand". I'm wondering if at some point I'll be able to do anything with them or if I should just sell them.

If you don't feel like keeping them, you can safely sell them. I tend to keep the biggest one in my bank as some sort of "fishing prize".

In my mind, none of those poundage fish are worth showing off and keeping. Now if WoW had some kind of rare off hand equipable 250 pound catfish. A big honker that would be draggin along the ground, enough to feed a dozen Taurens, now that would be a real prize winner!

Cows don't eat fish.... or at least I presume :D

Imagine wielding a huge catfish as some sort of 2H mace or something. I mean, if we can use legs of lamb, why not this?

Plus, one guy wailing on another guy with a large fish would be a nice Monty Python reference (end of fish dance sketch), which is just the sort of thing the Blizzard guys seem to like.

Those fish should have dps like random white weapons, and use mace proficiency. Fish over 50 lbs should require 2 handed mace proficiency.

I want to see a rogue dual wielding 49 pound redgills, and a shaman swinging a 103 pound mightfish.

No....not mace skill. Should be based off of Fishing skill...otherwise my hunter couldn;t use :)

And the crazy fish/weapons should be BOP!

Can fish be enchanted? I want a fiery fishy!
