I'm one of thoes people that listen to a little of everything. Rock, metal, country, oldies, rap(to a point) you name it. And so what do you listen to when you have time?

I like bands like Lincoln Park, Korn, Saliva, Evanescence, Papa Roach, Rob Zombie, etc... Oh and some rap but I am very picky about it.

09-06-2006, 04:04 PM
Not to be overly picky, but it's Linkin Park. They are awesome, but my all favorite has to be System of a Down. Too bad they're going on a multi-year hiatus after Ozzfest this summer.
I do like mostly any kind of music, though only some country and rap. The really old, southern country I don't do, and some of the rap barely passes for music.

I love music a lot. But mostly I listen to my dads music ><. Pink floyd, leonard Cohen, Bob dylan, Beatles and Doors are my favourite artists/bands. I also like to listen to Punk when I'm in a bad mood and some really dodgy anime/japanese/game music songs when I'm feeling silly.

oops. I don't even know why I spelled it like that... probably because abut an hour away from here there is a park called Lincoln and we go to it alot.
I've been up since 5 am with a crying baby so I'm not thinking quite clearly either.

Sorry i forgot to say the band I like they are mainly alternative rock like Incubus, Rage Against the Machine, Gorillaz, Sublime, and Linkin Park as well. Rap only when my friends are around and country when I'm with my grandfather.

Everything is good music. Just takes a little getting used to..
The stuff I listen to nowadays.. Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan.. the old rock scene, along with some Red Hot Chili Peppers for newer sound (Stadium Arcadium is a great album).
But i've been known to listen to everything from Chamillionare. T.I., and Fifty Cent (rap) to Johnny Cash and the Allman Brothers (County'ish) as well as classical stuff(Bethoven, Bach, Motzart, Brahms, ect). So yea, my taste is all over the place.

BTW Really good to see another Nothingface fan out there. I have seen them live 9 times and am one of the biggest fans. I am actually from Baltimore which is their home town (actually they are from Annapolis) so I have gotten to see them quite a bit. Matt Holt has actually put the mic in my mouth at a couple concerts cause he knows I can sing and know the lyrics. Can't wait to get their new album, it's going to kick ass.

Hmm... I'm not really into music, I guess you can say. I listen to it but I don't really know what the album is or even the band. I like Lincoln Park though.
I enjoy making my own music though. x) Even if it's not the best...or even average...

I'm with that guy . No offense to anyone, but I hate listening to it.
I just came back from Cornerstone. I don't know if any of you heard of it, but its a huge christian music festival that people camp at for 4 days and do pretty much nothing but go to seminars, listen to music, swim, and hang out. There were over 15 thousand people there in about a one mile by one mile
piece of land. Its hella sweet and changed my taste in music a little bit.
I listen to metal, hardcore, CHRISTIAN METAL/HARDCORE (I didn't know this existed, but the bands I found are amazing.), and now I listen to punk.
Some bands I recomend that I saw are:
The Burial [Christian Metal/Hardcore](www.myspace.com/xtheburial)
Flatfoot 56 [Christian/Celtic Punk] (www.myspace.com/flatfoot56) -They have bagpipes, and I played baseball with them! OWNAGE!
The Havoc [Punk] (www.myspace.com/thehavoc) - They just recently announced they're breaking up, and two new bands are forming from them. Spades n' blades and El Death. El Death will have people from The Deal in it if anyone ever listened to them.
I wont list anymore, because its getting a little lengthy. Just these last few:
If any of you are straight edge, or just like post-hardcore, then check out these guys: The Red Baron, Seventh Star, and No Innocent Victim. All three of these bands are also amazing and played really freaking sweet shows at Cornerstone. You can find them all on myspace.
I like Oldschool Rock/Hardrock such as AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Led Zeplin, The Doors, Cream, The Who, Guess Who, Jimi H.
I love Neil Young.
My true passion is the Metal/Hardcore stuff. My All-Time Top 5:
1. Metallica (Old and New)
2. Megadeth (Old and New)
3. Iron Maiden (Old and New are all the same)
4. Machine Head (Old and New)
5. In Flames (Mostly older stuff, but some new)
But I found 2 new bands in the last couple weeks that really could go on that list. "Trivium" and "Bullet for my Valentine" ... Both are absolutly awesome bands. The singer in Bullet can really sing well, and also scream (not high-pitched nor too deep) like there's no tomorrow.

Mostly into the newer metal...NothingFace, Lamb of God, Necrophagist, Arch Enemy, The Red Chord, Black Dahlia Murder, the Misfits (all-time fav there), older Fear Factory, Unearth, Pantera, MudVayne.
I'll listen to just about anything but that's the type of music that I spend money on.

Mostly older music, I'm a particular fan of the Doors, early Rolling Stones. Blue Oyster Cult - mainly the 60's and mid 80's. (Guns and Roses, Alice Cooper, etc.) Recently a little bit of White Zombie as well in that mixture.

Metal all the way. Metallica, Iron Maiden, Dragonforce, Iced Earth, Godsmack... the stuff with lyrics that you can actually understand. I'm not so into Cradle of Filth, Black Dahlia Murder, Lamb of God, or any of that other screamy stuff.
But NEVER rap. I'm one of the 8% of people who had never bought (or illegally downloaded) a single rap song.
The closest thing to rap I listen to is gorrilaz, but, hey, that's actually real music.

I listen to alot of stuff but mainly Metal, Hardcore, Techno, and Rap. My dad is a DJ for a Country radio station, I dont like or dislike Country but its cool because we get to go to alot of places for free and backstage.
Dimmu Borgir, Children Of Bodom, Job For A Cowboy, Between The Buried And Me, Bullet For My Valentine(they recently hit radio stations, its a shame that they are going to be over played and everyones favorite) In Flames, Bury Your Dead, As I Lay Dying, Heaven Shall Burn, Caliban, Killswitch, Meshuggah, Dragonforce, Opeth, It Dies Today, Lamb Of God, Sinai Beach, Most Rap......I could name hundreds and go on and on but those are a few that come to my head.

Metallica, Iron Maiden, Dragonforce, Iced Earth, Godsmack
Metallica hasn't put out a 'metal' album since Justice, Iron Maiden (as good as they were) are still playing the same style of metal they were playing in the 80's, Dragonforce is a straight bite off of Judas Priest, and Godsmack have never been metal. They've always been just edgy enough for mothers of middle school children to dislike, but they never hit the speed, soloing, or controvercial requirements to be a metal band.

Ah? So the requirements for metal is that it pisses everyone off, is horrendously loud, and unintelligible?
When will people learn that metal doesn't have to be heavy?
...although, I have to agree, St. Anger was a terrible album.
Foonyak
07-12-2006, 10:15 PM
Ah? So the requirements for metal is that it pisses everyone off, is horrendously loud, and unintelligible?
Metal was started by musicians that wanted to piss off the mainstream music community.
Horrendously loud, though it is a mainstay of metal, is also a main selling point of most music. Honestly, what sounds better, a CCR album at low volume, or at high volume?
Unintelligible lyrics are all in your head. If you read your lyric sheet along with the CD, you'd be suprised how quickly you can pick up what the singer is screaming, and then you can scream right along with them, just like you sing along with your Godsmack albums.
But neither loud or unintelligible are requirements for metal. Speed and soloing are, OTOH. Godsmack doesn't come through with either of those, or the controverciality. Selling your songs to the Navy for their commercials is only controvercial within the metal community, and is definitely frowned upon (read: selling out).
-Foo
PS Metal without the heavy/death/black/speed/thrash/etc in front is just rock.
ghazghull
07-12-2006, 10:50 PM
Actually, although I agree with most of your points, soloing is pretty essential, loud volume is great, but speed? Quite often the best metal songs are the ones that don't just throw the notes at you, but have a catchy beat, are perfectly planned, and well-accompanied by the lyrics.
IMHO, precision is more important than speed.
Still, each person has their own opinion, and very few people are likely to change theirs because of the sayso of someone hundreds of miles away behind a keyboard. So I'll stick with mine, you can stick with yours, and I suggest we stop pointlessly arguing and allow everyone else to get in a word sideways =P
Still hate St. Anger. *sigh* the worst part is I have St. Anger stuck in my head... 'I'm madly in anger with you, I'm madly in anger with you...'
VERY irritating.
my bloooooody valentine...

Get on to their Ascendancy Album... The Crusade (their latest) is not as good. But they are hyped as the next Metallica.
Checkout their Myspace or possible or youtube (just ignore the song "anthem we are the fire") it is bad.
Shoot me :undecided:
The last album was so bad :undecided:
I actually really liked it :)
But I understand how someone trying to measure it up against Master of Puppets or Justice could find it unappealing.
Personally, I like it because I find it interesting. They purposely made it sound like they where recording on a kareoke machine in someone garage. It has "mood" to it, but you gotta give it a chance... many people I've talked to that ended up really liking it, normally HATED it at first... then they give you that story how it "grew" on them. Yeah, Saint Anger is an album that needs to grow on you, but when it does, you'll find a new level of appreciation for it.
Now this new album, Metallica has promised a few things so far...
No needless ultra long songs, if it's long, it's cuz they had a lot to put in it.
Lars will use a normal sound on his snare, no tin can.
Kirk will write solos again, for every song.
James has been working on his voice a lot for the album.
Rick Ruben will produce the album (goodbye Bob Rock)
It will be a high quality production, no more garage sounding effects.
It'll be a mix of every style they've ever done, they aren't limiting themselves to only 1 style.
Trivium aren't bad, they're pretty good... they are a FAR cry from the "next metallica" tho, lol, I'll be surprised if they can push out a couple more albums. I really like them, they are creative, but IMO, muchly over-rated.
Killswitch Engage, these guys own Triviums faces off. The most anticipated metal album of 2006 "As Daylight Dies" was a f****** masterpiece. I haven't been so touched by a new album like that for a long long time.
Bullet for my Valentine, a band that I fear... why? Because I have a strong feeling that every album they'll push out after "The Poison" will be a little more mainstream, a little more catchy, a little less screamy... I'm enjoying them now while it lasts... hoping they won't jump into any pop clubs and realize they've wanted to wear dresses all their lives.
Avenged Sevenfold or A7X, I almost puked when I heard their new album...
Machine Head, IMO the Leader of the Pack, these guys were falling away from my type of music with "Supercharger" ... but then they did the impossible and released one of the greatest metal albums post-Y2K, if not the best. "Through the Ashes of Empires" as a return to what they were REALLY good at, blistering hardcore metal, and not rapcore pussymetal. Lets pretend "Supercharger" never existed, "The Burning Red" was acceptable, but "Burn My Eyes" and "The More Things Change" were brilliant and "Through The Ashes Of Empires" as absolutly dominating!!
Deftones, if you like that spooky, funky, dark, suicidal, emotional, wierd, fuzzy, drugged up kinda music, Deftones would be at the top of the list. I personally have stuck by these guys since their first release, and never was I disapointed. They never sold out to anyone, they are a one-of-a-kind band. Chino's spooky yet in-tune-off-tune voice is like no one else... you know it's him when you hear it, just like you know Ozzy when you hear him. Deftones' new 2006 album "Saturday Night Wrist" isn't a disapointment. Still moody and dark, still crazy as a d-tuned yet in-tuned guitars can get... It's a must for any Deftones fan. I loved it.

Whoa wait a second here...
Are you calling KSE nu-metal?
C'mon dude, I've been listening to metal since I was 6 years old headbanging to Megadeth, Anvil, Metallica, Exciter, Kreator, Sepultura and many others in my cousin's basement while my dad drank coffee with my uncle upstairs... I eat, breath and sh*t metal! And I know that KSE ain't no friggin' nu-metal.
Korn = Nu-Metal
Limp Bizkit = Nu-Metal
Coal Chamber = Nu-Metal
Acid Bath = Nu-Metal
KSE = New Metal
Megadeth = Oldschool Metal
Bullet for my Valentine = New Metal (slightly emo-ish tho, but still Metal)
Trivium = New Metal
Metallica = Every type of Metal
Slayer = Oldschool Metal
There's a HUGE different between Korn and KSE. I'm sure you would agree there. New and Nu are 2 VERY different things. KSE is an example of the exact Evolution of Oldschool metal... Korn is a metal deformity, that doesn't really come from anything, it was nu and trendy (hence why they were so popular 5+ years ago.)

I often listen to it as I play WoW. When I do, I often like to think what song would fit well as a theme music of some part of the game, like, what could be a good theme music for X class, race, faction, or just some zone or instance.
Anyone else do something like this?

Nu Metal is the spelling used to describe bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Hed P.E., etc. Bands without a great amount of talent, which commonly throw rap-style lyrics in with heavily distorted guitars in an attempt to produce an 'original' sound.
New metal is simply music that fits into one of the various metal subgenres (death, thrash, black, epic/Viking, heavy, etc) which was written by a band that's come together in the past few years.

Sometimes I do, a lot of times I don't. In this particular case I've been trying to tell people the same thing since about '98, but 95% of the people I explain it to believe that all metal made after Korn came out is nu metal, therefore it sucks, and they refuse to listen to any kind of reason on the subject.
Metallica lost it after the black album...some say it's debatable that the black album killed Metallica....
Ever since Hetfield became sober, Metallica has gone to sheet!
"Now dat's da troof!"
Metallica didn't "loose" it after the Black Album... you must be getting your news from someone that still dresses like it's the NWOBHM ... Metallica simply grew up, got mature, and their music grew with them. They won't sing about Escaping from a Sanitarium, or Searching to seek and destroy anything that starts up a fight... some bands never had the balls to do what Metallica did, and simply stayed in their little corner, re-releasing the same album over and over again with different words and music switched around...
Metallica did something different, sure their style sold more albums, but their music was no less emotional (some will argue that post-black album was MORE emotional). I admit, St. Anger was strange, but Lars said, "This album is commercial suicide"... just goes to show you that they don't care about album sales anymore, St. Anger was about angry emotions, what makes them pissed, and letting it out in a healthy way.
Their new album due this year (I say May - June) will be very very different, it always is, never the same.

Changing your style isn't the same thing as turning to ass. U2 changed their style 3 or 4 times and still put out insanely good music. Reload? Please.
I admit, St. Anger was strange, but Lars said, "This album is commercial suicide"... just goes to show you that they don't care about album sales anymore
Which makes them even bigger jerks since they decided to stop caring only after screwing the napster generation.
(not safe for work or the kiddies, but poignant and funny)

Brandon, agree to disagree here, Reload had some extremely deep thoughts in it.
Hero of the Day?
Mama Said?
Thorn Within?
The house that jack built?
Until it sleeps?
Sorry, but that's a far cry from Ass.
And you know what? Metallica went up against Napster because it was right. Free music? Might as well put the Mona Lisa out on the street with a big 0$ tag on it. Sorry to tell you, in order to possess music, just like any other form of art, has NEVER been free, except bar music, cover bands, and the like... Other than that, how many bands were secretly backing up Metallica in the Napster case, hundreds, thousands, with no courage to "taint" their look? Metallica was the only band with the GUTS and BALLS to come out of the framework and say "F*** THIS S***!! Art ain't free!!" ... and with a right mind, how can you disagree?
Something you worked on, put hundreds of thousands of dollars into, to make it sound absolutly flawless for the fans, is just being stolen from you? Who cares if they are rich, they are indisputably the biggest Metal Band EVER. Of course they're rich, but does that give everyone the right to steal from them anymore than the next man?
No.

Thanks,
I never really cared for genres anyway... Metal is metal. The only variances of is good and bad. Thrash, Death, Doom, Black are good ways to describe broadly bands but meh. I would rather listen to it than debate the definition of scrEmo.
And with regards to St Anger, I saw its first play on MTV in the Local Music store and laughed my ass off. They said themselves it just came out when they got in the studio. So does various excretions when i go into the toilet... There is no composing, no critical thinking, no fine tuning... just an explosion of audio crap.
Clearly some people like that and good for them, but as for me... naugh sorry. I could handle load/reload etc... but this, this just make me laugh... and her i am laughing at what was once the worlds biggest metal bands slow demise.

Lately ive been listening to a lot of Threat Signal(they arent big but they are GOOD), Some older Lamb Of God, and Young Jeezys new CD(The Inspiration).

Nitrous, who would you say Young Jeezy is similar to? I have heard good things about him, but never what/who he sounded like, and I'be never heard any of his stuff. I'm not a huge fan of hip-hop, but there are a few artists that I like.
I like a bit of everything. Rock, Metal, Trance, Dance, Pop, Reggae, Indie, Folk, country, Bluegrass and every variation thereof.
My favourite bands ever? Freedom Call, In Flames, Soil, Bob Marley, Men at Work, Thin Lizzy, ATC, Alice Cooper, Queen, DJ Ross, newton, Captain, The Zutons, Sean Paul, 3 Days Grace, Gorillaz and around several billion others.
At the minute I'm in a 70s rock mood, so lots of Alice, Queen, Motley Crue, Kiss, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and the rest. It rocks. ;D
Oh, and if anyone can reccomend more stuff in the same vein as 3 Days
Grace, In Flames and that sort, I'd be very appreciative. ;D

I just moved house.
My Computer is hooked up to a Panasonic Home Theater System and it kinda sucks, everything resonates in the house. It never happened in the old house so you could turn it up with out the rest of the house turning into a giant untuned speaker. It's kind of like the subwoofer in a car effect where the rest of the car resonates and adds that horrible shaking sound over top.
If you want to turn it up you have to take out all the base and it just sounds flat and crappy so i have not been listening to music that much. Think i need to fill the house up with more junk to soak it up.
Though i have been listening to Opeth in the car lately and i saw Trivium in Concert last week. Freaking Awesome

Slipknot is a band that I'll never support for personal reasons...their music is ok, but they're crappy people. 40 Below Summer is pretty good, though from what I've heard from them, they aren't nu metal. I won't try to put them in a genre, but it's not nu metal to my ears. Zombie isn't metal, all his stuff is hard rock. Calling Zombie 'metal' is the same as calling Godsmack 'metal'; it just ain't right.

Bah everyone always hates on 'nu-metal' like its a genre of bad metal or something. Chimaira is nu-metal and has also mastered the most anger ever managed in an album (Sepultura fans can cry). Lamb of God is nu-metal and I would personally KILL any self-proclaimed metal fan who could listen to Sacrament end to end off a store-bought CD and say it was anything less than awesome. Sure everyone hates on Slipknot, even me, and I like their recorded stuff (its just that they have the time of a dyslexic four year old live..), but one band, or even a few bands isn't enough to hate a genre. Killswitch Engage is nu-metal.. they're.. uhh popular? (I'm not a big fan). Fear Factory, In Flames new stuff (Reroute was good by me), Korn (to some extent), Tool (somewhat), Mudvayne (what I've heard at least), DevilDriver (soon to be some of the greatest North American metal on the market owing to their melodic elements) And just about all of the first year of the Sounds of the Undergroud tour I failed to mention (except Opeth and Gwar).
It isn't the genre. It's the assumption.

i reckon , in response to post 81.. korn and limp are very talented. Not that I listen or support their type of music... but technically speaking (literally) they are very good. Their style and method of playing was original at the time and still is. Be it Korns deep down raunchy drums, or LB's hip hoppy guitar riffs; they were very different.

While KoRn was one of the first bands to create a 7-7-5 trio, and did create an original sound, I can't really say a whole lot for them in the talent department. *Chug-skreee-ch-chugga-chug-cha-skwaa* and there's their riff pattern through most of their songs.
Limp Bizkit was a straight rip-off of Ice T's band 'Body Count', except for the fact that Fred Durst had no idea how to bring a real hip-hop vibe to modern rock, while Ice T did it flawlessly.
That probably had nothing to do with Ice T actually living on the streets in the hood, while Fredric grew up in the Jacksonville suburbs.

The phonetic riff dictation was great, however how would you define talent?
Originality and creativeness (something they at least had in the beginning) would move to describe them as a talented artist to me. They came out with their own sound from a cast of sound a likes.
I mean lets face it, when a new sounding band comes along, they are normally just a hybrid of two styles. Like them or hate them, a little credit where it's due.

I was actually a really big fan of theirs until "Take A Look In The Mirror", where it just got too repetitive, and even then there were a few songs on that album that were pretty good.
I don't think that "talent" was the right word for me to use. They got burnt out, and I think that their creativity fell off. But after ten or twelve years of doing tours and recording albums, that's bound to happen to even the best of bands.

o.O?!
I don't know, but I guess you're one of the 'Classic music is the real deal' fans?
I was a Korn fan till they made "Issues" ... then I remained a fan of only their 3 first albums.
Limp Bizkit, although I think Fred Durst is a redneck wannabe rapper, they did make good music for a live crowd. And I will admit, after seeing LB live, that they do put on an interesting show... How many REALLY big bands will the singer get a plank of wood, set it on top of the crowd, and let the crowd surf him around the venue? Then jump off right in the middle and continue a part of the show right there in the crowd, moshing with them and having a good time. LB does that, and I can respect that.
Smashing Pumkins simply rock, I'm an oldshcool Pumkins fan, and I've always known this day would come. Pink Floyd, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Anything Ozzy, Pink Floyd...
Oh and Pink Floyd...
So why do I ALWAYS have either Alliance Inn music, or Stormwind music stuck in my head???
The guy is a tool! They only made one decent song and that was the help of Trent Reznor on the Lost Highway Soundtrack....
You're forgetting something... "In YOUR Opinion".
IMO being a young rocker when SP was the shizz, they had many, many damn good songs.

80s, Early 90s, Japanese (Anime and otherwise), Dance, Classical
Nothing was funnier than seeing a Europe concert on TV and, they being one hit wonders, ended up playing "The Final Countdown" not only at the beginning but also the end of the concert. That was sad.
Nothing was cooler than going to a Metallica concert, free, with Korn opening and watching some guy get set on fire. Sure, it was part of the act, but it was still cool. So was the basement hanging light bulb after the lights went out ... wow this was 90... something. Can't even remember anymore.

You're not the only one, bodybagz. I don't get near the enjoyment out of listening to rap that I do listening to metal or punk, but I do listen to a few select rap/hip hop artists.

It depends on the character. I have 2 characters I spend most of my time on, my Undead Warlock and my Tauren Druid.
When I’m dpsing on my Lock it’s metal, rock, dance music. Metallica, Guns n’ Roses, Rage Against the Machine, Daft Punk, Plump DJs, that kind of thing. Needs to be fast and thrashy, helps me keep my momentum up and keep me aggressive.
My Druid is resto specced, so with him it’s calm all the way. I like to feel detatched and relaxed, so it’s Simon and Garfunkel, Alison Krauss, Air, anybody who chills me out and stops me getting dragged into the chaos going on around me.
If I’m grinding, I’ll often put on audio books. Keeps me going when I need to be mana efficient and it stops me from getting bored. I can’t watch TV at the same time as I can only concentrate on one visual stimulus at a time… lol

For any fellow metalheads, Black Label Society is awesome. Their lead is Zack Wilde, former guitar player for Ozzy. They have a bit of an Ozzy sound to be sure, but it's some great music.

For all the Norther/Amon Amarth/Dark Tranquillity/etc fans here are a few bands that fall into that catagory:
The Duskfall - Mix dt and Norther's vocals, Norther and Unearth's Guitars
Kalmah - vocal's are almost Deicide-ish, its bass end melodic
Imperanon- riff riff riff riff riff riff ok i need a towel
Deadlock - wow.. growled vocals from lead guitar and a female who doesnt attempt to be an opera singer! riff riff riff .. techno? rifff
Sonic Syndicate - Ok, these guys are REALLY distorted.. but I like it.
Darkane - Meshuggah style riffing at times, yelled vocals
Mendeed - it's hard to find their stuff but they're pretty good

Thanks for the leads, HR.
I'm listening to a lot of Rise Against recently, give it a try if your a fan of melodic hardcore.
Also, Rodrigo Y Gabriella have got a lot of play time in the past few days. They are so damn talented, and excellent live.

I listen to pretty much what you listen to.. just a little bit of Emo to keep me saine, and a few things that to me mean different things. For example, right now I'm listening to the song How to save a life by The Fray. To me it represents how everyone pretended to be my friend, then in their own way, lost my trust and stabbed me brutally in the back.

Seriously.
Machine Head's - The Blackening is the early contender for album of the year. Chimaira's was good too though nothing special.
The Flame http://img9.imagepile.net/img9/700headbang.gif
At the moment:
None other than!
No Life 'Til Leather! - Metallica
For those of you that don't know this Demo Album, it has 6 tracks on it:
-Hit the Lights
-The Mechanix
-Jump in the Fire
-Metal Militia
-Phantom Lord
-Seek and Destroy
History lesson: This album was recorded in '82 back when Metallica were sleeping in abandoned warehouses using army blankets to keep warm. James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Cliff Burton and... Yes. Dave Mustaine.
It's a fan-remastered version and it sounds killer! as far as 1982 tape warped demos go. Can't hear any warping on the digital tracks tho, very good quality, talented sound tech did this. I just love poping it in the car cd-player and blasting it, makes me feel Oldskool big time, in a good way. And the thought of being the only person in Canada listening to this exact album at the moment, is pretty cool.
The other day I was driving down the street, listening to this, and these 3 teens walk up to my car and told me that I should listen to the real metallica versions... I told them, "You can't get any realer than this baby, it's No Life `til Leather" ... They just stared at me and told me to get Kill `em All again... Then I drove off, as I muttered "n00bz" to myself.
Check out Parkway Drive... if u are at all into any melodic metalcore.
They're alright. Although, it seems Melodic hardcore and it's metalcore equivalent are quite different. I'm not very in to alll the breeing sort of stuff.
Bob Marley is always on the desk! :afro:
