I am getting a Lenovo T60. It's the 2623D7U model, I believe. It has:

2ghz Core Duo
128mb ATI X1400 graphics card
100GB HD
512mb RAM
14.1" SVGA+ screen

Does anyone know if this is sufficient to run WOW? Also, does anyone here use a Lenovo laptop to play WOW? What have your experiences been like?

Thanks so much!

looks fine, i have less and it works good. One thing you could look for is more RAM, you can never have enough of that ;)

I have a 2gig centrino, 1gig ram, radeon x700 and wow works smoothly in my 1680x1050 widescreen res. yours should work just fine, but an ram upgrade would definately increase your results.

Thanks. I'm not too familiar with laptop graphic cards. Is the X1400 > X700? Also, I think I am getting a 1GB upgrade (since there is only 1 slot available) so I'll have 1.5GB total of RAM.

Thanks again guys.

Keep in mind that WoW makes most laptops overheat like there's no tomorrow. Be careful.

Yeah... My laptop didn't handle WoW very well... that is why we got the desktop computer.

My laptop ran WoW great. Only issue for laptops is running for a long period of time = hot laptop. Vary uncomfortable thing for your hands. I found even with my OEM fans installed and an extra cooling system attached, the laptop still got extremely hot after prolonged raids kept me up long hours.

The heat may have been just an issue with my particular laptop (The Acer's are notorious for this) but, I've got a friend with a Toshiba laptop who has similar issues so, it's something to think about.

Yeah, I would be wary of 500MB RAM and your performance. If you had one thing you could pick to upgrade, I would upgrade that to 1 gig. World of difference (and not just in WoW).

I run 2GHz Centrino, 2Gig Dual Channel Ram, 2x80Gig Sata in Raid0, 256MB GeForce 6800Go and runs fine too

I played on a similiar laptop for some time, few pieces of advice.

Buy another 512mb of ram for it, this will greatly enhance performance.

Get some kind of cooling for it. If you have a table buy one of those laptop cooling stations you can sit it in. It will make your notebook very hot. I would also NOT recommend overclocking your video card as this produces even more heat.

Thanks. If I don't get a laptop cooling station, do you think I'll overheat / burn up my laptop?

Thanks.
