Do you get more arcane crystals with 310 in mining?

Some people say that they get more arcane crystals from rich thorium veins when they're using gloves with +5 mining. Has anyone ever proved this?

What the nodes have to be looted has nothing to do with your skill; same stuff'll be there for anyone that comes by with enough skill to take it.

I dragged my Pally out for the first time in a good while yesterday for a spot of mining. He mined two rich thorium veins, and got an arcane crystal from each.

Now I appreciate a certain amount of good luck was involved, but it lead me to thinking, have the drop rates for arcane crystals gone up?

just blind luck... I usually take breaks from my lock to mine for Arcane Crystals with my Hunter several times per session usually I'll get one or two crystals every couple of days (not doing any serious farming... one zone two or three ares where veins pop). Then I went two weeks or so without a single crystal... Then Saturday I get 3 crystals out of the first two veins I mined.

It's possible blizz leveled a bit the drop rate of arcane crystal, since now you need them for naxx, to counter the skyrocketed price of them.

It's not the first time blizz done that i think...

I've been a mining thorium for months now and have never seen a arcinite crystal =[

I heard there are more arcane crystals needed now because of something with Naxx. The prices aren't going up however on my server.

THe day the invasion arrived, Arcane Crystals shot from 20 - 30g (ah) to around 90 - 100g (ah).
