ug extremely high latency problems!

when ever i try to play wow its gets all laggy.....you know that bar that is iether green,ywllow or red to show youre connection, mine is really red and it sais there may be a problem with my internet connection it was like this yestereday and today any ideas of wut 2 do? p.s i started playin this game again yesterday after a 5 month break,so wut to do

Well... I'm not sure about other realms, but on the Silvermoon server, there was a lot of latancy issues last night. I'd keep on trying, and if it doesn't go away, it could be something with your connection, like the thing implied. Have you tried cancelling the background downloader? Its new for Patch 1.11, just downloads the patch in the background while you play... which really isn't a good thing for low bandwidth connections.

well i tryd loggin on to other servers and i still had the problem, wut can i do to fix my connection?

I had the same problem on many different realms yesterday.... I had just started playing wow after a 1 month break and I reinstalled the game. I had a hard time connecting and downloading the patch then when i started to play i had high latency (about 400-900ms). I went onto worldofwarcraft.com to the support page and did every suggestion it gave me to fix the latency problem but my latency is still high.

Latency was high for me last night also, and everyone else on my server.

i think alot of the newer servers are having a hard time, (all the servers i play on ><) on dentarg this includes a crash on saturday, and crazy ping randomly ever since, even though my internet connection is fine. i treid going to a few other realms that i have some charactors on, like anetheron and demon soul, both were having the same problems. then i treid some older realms like arthas and bloodhoof...both were fine

Server of Nordrassil has been extremely laggy the past week. This includes freeze lag for 30sek every other minute, mass disconnects of people on the server, lootlags (ofcourse) and high latency in general. Doesn't really make you feel like paying the full amount when it's impossible to play properly.. I think that Nordrassil was the only server up for a while there too. Bet they forgot the maintenance on it :tongue:

Every night for the last 3 nights Disconnects and bad lag have been messing up Hellscream, starts when everyone gets home from work and starts logging on and eases off about 9-10. The offical technical forums are awash with people from like 20 diff servers complaining about it.
