FPS issues, pretty but slow

i everyone,

Problem : FPS always runs at 10-20, no matter what settings I do, including monitor refresh, sound options, pixel shading, overclocking Vid Card, etc...


Specs:

Pentium IV 3 GHZ
2 GB RAM
Nvidia 6800, with new drivers


I'm lost, and it's tough to play this game now. Can't move without it getting worse and worse until I can't do anything.

As an added problem...

I notice it's worse near water, doesn't get better no matter what I change, is absolutely gorgeous 100% of the time, even with 10 FPS... so maybe that helps? idk...

Perhaps your Nvidia Forceware drivers are forcing Anisotropic filtering on max? Check them out 1st, if adjusting them doesn't work, come back here.
