Why can't I get past 126 out of 151mb for the new patch???

I'm downloading from VGPro. Mine wouldn't go past 84%. I've had it on for a few hours even.

VGPro was going slow so I found a new mirror. Only takes an hour to download! I'm at 15% and just started.

It sounds like the peer tracker for the patch torrent is getting hosed. No suprise, really. I'd just leave it up and wait longer. Restart the patch download if it makes you feel better.

I had that problem, but once I opened ports 3724 and 6881-6999 on my router (forwarded them to my computer) it started moving pretty quickly.

same .. 84% done, just sat there grining at me. last night at midnight i got kicked n couldnt sign back in on my account but could on another account. what is going on?

can someone recomend anything to me? im using a ASUS router and as far as i can tell the ports are forward and iv never had a problem other than "you seem to be behind a firewall" but it never stops it

Got to advianced tab on downlaoder go to conections it will show you waht it is doing my down load speed went from 0 to 8 kb just give it about 4-5 hours :sad:

What's especially annoying is that they *know* how many people will want the patch through the subscription numbers. They should have the sense, reason, ability AND money to have a capable distribution method in place for these large bugfix...err, sorry....patches.

Nope they shouldn't. I've seen a number somewhere which said 2 million users. Consider that this patch is 154MB big, that makes 2000000*154=308000000MB... If they would want to distribute that within 1 hour to all players that'd mean they need 30800000MB/3600 sec. = 85555MB/S. Not doable. (I feel that I've made some kind of calculation misstake there, but can't find it.)

You missed the part about a "capable distribution method". You're describling a plain old http/ftp/whatever max-rate one. Hardly an argument. There's no reason to get defensive over a commercial company you know - they won't thank you for it, won't praise you, won't give you a job and won't give you a free subscription.

I think they know. That's why we've all had the downloader running in the background for the past few weeks getting the majority of the file. I'm not trying to apologize for Blizzard...I sat there at 126/151 for a while also. Eventually I just downloaded the whole 454 MB file from Fileplanet. Took about 15 minutes.
