I have had to recently reload my computer. I used UIRestore to restore my addons and now UICentral doesn't recognize but a few of the addons I had installed. I would hate to have to reinstall all of the addons. Any suggestions or ideas? I had a ton of addons running. They all work fine in WOW, it is just UICentral that has the problem.

I can tell you from a technical standpoint from how UIBackup/UIRestore works that they only ever touch your WTF and Interface folders. I believe UICentral stores its various information in a folder called UICentral, but I could be wrong on that.
It sounds as if the settings for UICentral were somehow reset? I actually had to perform a restore myself tonight to restore all my interface settings after the patch. I just ran UICentral myself to see if I would have the same problem. I encountered no problems.
I will send Amthea a private message and ask to take a look at this thread.
I think I may add to UIBackup's to-do list the ability to backup/restore UICentral's data files. I'll talk to Amthea about that as well. :)

I believe I have a solution for you. I just ran into the exact same problem you had with a friend. Do a search on your computer for: UICentral.ModIndex
Delete every occurrance of this file. Then delete the 'UICentral' folder inside your World of Warcraft directory. Then rerun UICentral and perform a Scan.
I'm sure you will find it is working then. :)

I'm doing a search for that file now. I haven't found any instances yet. Do you remember where they were placed on your friend's system? I have tried a manual search and couldn't find it anywhere.

Got it fixed. I had upgraded to Windows Vista Beta 2. It copied all of my old files into Windows.old. It seems that UICentral was not acting like it should, but as soon as I copied the UICentral directory from the Windows.old/programs files/Worldofwarcraft directory, it works fine. Thanks.
