Arcane Crystals have just hit the all-time high of 75-85g on the Bronzebeard server, thanks to the new requirement to enter Naxx. It's a farmer's heyday out there.

Nowadays farmers are getting annoying with the arcane crystals. They usually wack the node and if they find crystal, they stop. They don't mine it till it disappears. Thus a lot of other people mining will never find the crystal, simply because the node never despawns. That's why the farmers now control the arcane crystal market.

You know it is possible to find two (or more I guess) arcane crystals from the same node.

Yup but the chances are extremely minimal. The farmers' bot programs probably will discount it so that it doesn't waste backpack space for useless thorium.

It doesn't make any sense. The chance is the same each time you hit the node whether or not it have yielded a crystal on a previous hit. Also thorium sells good espicially around Darkmoon Faire and with the postbox in EPL now it doesn't matter if your bags gets filled a little faster.

Yes, but farmers don't want to even bother to list thorium on AH. They treat it like vendor trash :)

My server must be behind the curve. I checked on the price for Arcane Crystals last night and it's at an all-time low. They're going for like 18g per.

Very old servers will have a higher price due to the sheer amount of level 60s in the server. The more there are, the more demand for arcane crystals and hence the higher the price.

If there 18g dude I suggest buying as many as you possibly can, untill people start using them for Naxx or whatever it is cause on most servers they quadroupled in price.
