Global LFG channel

On my server at least, pointless chat has gone global!
Oh yes, those annoying *"&?% who chat innane "*&% all day in starting areas have discovered that they can make everyone listen in!!! please bliz take it back.....

and yes I know I scan switch the channel off just having a rant!!!! :laughing:

Bliz has rendered LFG almost useless on most servers. It has turned entirely into lose.

Yep it's turned into Spam heaven on the two servers I play on.

On the plus side now alll those level 20s running around the Barrens will kniw that simeone needs a healer for UBRS :) .

This is actually a weird thing for me. People everywhere complain about how insane LFG channel has become but I am just not seeing it personally. Myabe it is just my server but I talked to some friends who play on a different server and they did not notice the massive spamfests everyone else is alluding to. Are we jsut lucky or are people really blowing this out of proportion?

He's right, Barrens chat has gone global through the LFG channel.

On the other hand, it's very useful when I'm trying to organise a raid on StormWind, as I'm normally already in there.

Global LFG channel, brilliant idea, unfortunately a LOT of idiots and arrogant children play the game.
I just turned mine off after people started using it as a WTS/WTB channel.

I only turn it on when I need to get a group going for something or looking to see if maybe someone already has a group going for what I'm looking to do.

The best part of the LFG channel... Are the people chatting in it about the 'annoying' people talking in the LFG channel and how 'annoying and stupid' they are...

Too right!! I had to endure hundreds of messages telling people to stop spamming the LFG channel.... nearly as much of this as the rubbish to start with....... Plus I am sure telling someone to stop only makes them more inclined to carry on as they are made aware that they got everyones attention.......

It kinda sux but really handy when u need a party and just keep farming wile u are looking, i just made a macro for turning it on and off :P

Global LFG is a nice feature, but it is abused horribly. The other problem is even when it isn't abused there are some many LFG requests that it gets difficult to read through it all.

Amazingly Destromath had about an hour and a half with no LFG spam, so I now know that glocal LFG is still to big.

Also if they keep global LFG they really need to increase the ignore list, I've gone from 1 to over 100 on my ignore list from Tuesday to today.

Most ironic thing in the game ATM, people who use the LFG channel to complain about people spamming the LFG channel

Note for any LFG spammers, spamming LFG is a one way ticket to never finding a group. like I said I have added over 100 people to my ignore list, that is 100 people who I will never party, trade or speak with, probably never since I have a habit of never cleaning out my ignore lists.
