Tabards

Okay I have a basic question about WoW. I am in a great guild, BUT I just
hate the guild tabard. Don't wear it you say? I don't. But it would be nice to have a tabard. (I don't especially like the "bare midriff" look in my armor for example) So I was wondering what other tabards would be available other than a guild tabard?

get to scout/private (pvp rank 1) the tabard you get for that (which you must buy, in either sw or in org, just outside the officers barracks) looks alot bettter than most guild tabards.

I think there is a PvP tabard and possibly an Argent Dawn one (only heard this in passing). You do have another option though. I believe guild tabards can be redesigned (for a small fee). So possibly if enough of your guildmates agree with you, maybe you can talk the GL into redoing it.

According to a rumor, certain mobs in patch 1.11's Scarlet Monastery have a chance to drop the Scarlet Crusade tabard.

I believe for the AD tabard you have to hand in necrotic runes, found on Undead from the Scrouge invasion. The other three are tabards of Horde PvP forces in Warsong, Arathi Basin and Alterac.

I also have a guy on my server with a colorful "contest winner" tabard..be that what it may....

Those tabards are based on the battlegrounds, I think you need to achieve a fairly high rep with them to get the tabards.

The scout tabard is available in Orgrimmar on the upper tier of the city area on the way to the first aid trainer. You just need to be a scout in PVP and to have a shiney gold coin. The tabard is pretty nice, it is in tones of orange and sienna with a white Horde ensign on it.

Changing a guild tabard is 10g and it is actually a touchy subject with many guild leaders. Usually they designed the tabard and no one likes to hear people hate them. I am sure you are tactful enough to bridge it delicately if you try that route but it had to be said :smiley:

From what I read it's the trainees that rush the room right after he dies. Be careful though. It's a white so no roll screen when some one picks it up.

AFAIK, Contest Winner tabards were given out as rewards to those who managed to amass the most honor during the first month of the Honor System (2 tabards per server - one to the best Alliance player, one to the best Horde player).

I finally hit level 51 at which point I was at least able to get to the quests to turn in the necrotic runes (I believe that is what they are called). The level 60 characters in our guild took out the 50's for a grand time beating back the shadows in the scourge invasion. I soon had enough runes for my new Argent Dawn Tabard. I just love the way it looks.
