What happened to my characters?

Haven't been playing WoW since Aug 05. Just restarting now.

What have I missed?

Too much to tell you in one post. Like, all classes got new talents, You missed Ahn'Quiraj, Naxxramas, New Battlegrounds?, ffs, I don't know if all those patches were after August '05.. BWL and Onyxia?

Anyway, there?s alot for you to experience again, have fun!

Err, A LOT, you're almost to the point where there's going to be the Expansion coming out, lol. You're pretty much like a level 40 even if you had a 60 back then. You're practically going to be considered an idiot if you say "LFG for BRD" lol. No, just kidding but still, you're very far behind.

Ahh, its all good.

But, it seems my new nvidia 6600GT video card isn't up for the challenge.

Everything flickers continuously and then freezes.

Looks like no WoW for me after all...

A 6600 should be fine but it sounds like it's running too fast/overclocked. Try the nvidia tool for that or better yet, get the OmegaDriver for it.

And yes, like the others said, the game has had so many things added and changed that you should have a whole whopping lot to look into once you're back in.

My card's crap compared to yours Clegaw, I believe mine's about a 4800 and I do fine.

Heh.. I've had no end of troubles with my 6600GT. All the WoW errors (#132, #134) say it's a driver issue but I've tried just about every driver version available with no luck.

Then last weekend the machine died completely. Swapped in a mates old 5200 and it works fine. Sent the 6600GT back to store and was told that it is fully functioning with zero problems (Whereas it won't even boot in my desktop)

Good fun, huh?

Yes, it seems some days it behaves and there is no flickering, but other days, the green flickering is insane and it freezes then reboots the computer. Then it comes up with a microsoft error report which says severe graphic card error or something, but I can find nothing wrong with the card's diagnostics. However, it makes a whirring noise. I've cleaned it for dust, but that makes no difference. The temperature is normal also, not overclocked. I'm going to take it into the computer shop that put the dud 6600GT in it and see what they can do.
Ever since I changed graphic cards, this has happened... Stupid 6600GT...

Update about my 6600GT card:
Got it replaced by the computer store on warranty, after I kicked up a stink when they said there was nothing wrong with it - new 6600GT works great!
