Help! =(

I am in need of desperate help from the community, I bought WowW today and I go to register my account but I come across an option to enter a pre-paid card or a credit card number, well the credit card number is out of the option...my parents are by far the most paranoid people ever and won't let me put in their credit card number (im 17, not a little 12 year old). Please, PLEASE, tell me there is another way to get through this part of registration! Is it possible to buy a pre-paid card to get past that area?

you MAY be able to get your own...I'm not sure about the age restriction, but I do know that many banks offer student credit cards with no fees and very low limits (you can't spend more than what's in your account). It's what I have, and how I was able to register. Go to your bank (or their website) and find out.

A lot of places do prepaid gift Visa and Mastercards. You can check with a bank or a check cashing place - I think even some drugstores have them now.

That or you can get a game card from Best Buy, Target, Walmart or other fine retailers near you.

You should be able to get a regular debit card at that age! Ok, well you can here in the UK :S

In the US the age is generally 18.

However if you have a newer coinstar machine in your area (will have a cash acceptor like those on a vending machine), or a Walgreens or Rite-Aid you can get a pre-paid credit card.

If you really need your parents CC tell them that the internet is actually safer nowadays then using it in your local retailer, of course that has been known to back fire and then they only use cash for everything.

I agree. do that prepaid credit card. then you don't have to worry about your bank account getting messed up. We have done that before when there are no game cards on the shelf.

In Europe you can, the US however require a CC for age/identity verification. :rolleyes:
