So I was going to add a second account to my credit card today. It had been a long, long time since I signed up for an account online, and when it asked for my authentication key, it got me to thinking.
When blizzard bans accounts, do they close accounts, or do they close all accounts associated with a particular key?
Im sure it must be the latter, but can someone confirm it for me? If not, it sure seems useless to ban all those accounts.

Unless I'm mistaken
one key = one account
You can't use one key to open multiple accounts.
If you can I buggered myself when i bought two copies of the game for two accounts.

That makes a fairly good amount of sense .. why I didnt think of that I have no idea.
The worst thing is, I'm wide awake, lots of sleep, good breakfast in me, not hungover ... ive got nothing to blame that mental fart on.

I thought people just used the guest key for the 2nd account? Or when you do that do they make you pay the $50 when you sign up?

That question lead me to another one... Why do you fear of having your account closed? Just wondering... :ponder:

Seeing how Blizzard bans accounts in frenzies for each and every game they run, where most likely 10% are wrong closings, who can blame him?

I'm sure if you attempt to set up another account with the same CD-key, you'll be told that the key is already in use and you won't be able to set up the account.

No fear of my account being closed, it just popped to mind and I thought i'd ask ... i just cant believe I didnt see the obvious answer.
Its enough to make me question what (I previously believe to be) my monstrous intellect.
