Hello! i am new to the forums, and i was wondering if there was a table of sorts to tell what level uncommon items disenchant to what dust/essence/shards i was hoping it would be something like this

41-50:80%Dream dust 1-3,15% Nether essence 1-2,5%smal radiant shard 1-1

or something like that.. is there any resource that has something like that? :ponder:

You can go to the Auctioneer mod website at http://auctioneeraddon.com/dl/ and download the addon called Enchantrix. It's used in-game to predict the disenchanting results when you hover your pointer over an item.

Green armors tend to disenchant into dusts the majority of the time, with essences being uncommon, and shards rare. Green weapons yield essences more often than dusts, and shards are still rare. As for what levels yield what materials, I'm not sure how to create a proper table format, so you'll have to put up with this list:

Levels 1-10 Strange Dust/Lesser Magic Essence/Small Glimmering Shard
11-15 Strange Dust/Greater Magic Essence/Small Glimmering Shard
16-20 Strange Dust/Lesser Astral Essence/Small Glimmering Shard
21-25 Soul Dust/Greater Astral Essence/Large Glimmering Shard
26-30 Soul Dust/Lesser Mystic Essence/Small Glowing Shard
31-35 Vision Dust/Greater Mystic Essence/Large Glowing Shard
36-40 Vision Dust/Lesser Nether Essence/Small Radiant Shard
41-45 Dream Dust/Greater Nether Essence/Large Radiant Shard
46-50 Dream Dust/Lesser Eternal Essence/Small Brilliant Shard
51-60 Illusion Dust/Greater Eternal Essence/Large Brilliant Shard

For the record, blues always yield the appropriate shard for their level, with 56+ (or so) having a very small chance of a nexus crystal. I'm not sure how lower level purples work now, but the level 60 ones at least always give a nexus crystal. Before the crystals were added, purples gave multiple shards; the lower level ones probably still work this way.

51+ epics give nexuses I think. Possibly a small chance of shards if it's lower level in that band. Lower epics give multiple shards.

Armor has a 75% chance of dust and 25% chance of essence. Weapons have 25% chance of dust and 75% chance of essence.

Well, I came looking for exactly the kind of table you were discribing here as mine (and the ones from enchantrix) seem to be out of date now. I will go ahead and give you what I have and hopefully people can help me adjust it appropriately.

In my experience there are actually two tables, one for armor items and one for weapon items. This is generally based on where the item would show up in the AH. So an offhand item that doesn't do damage is armor, not a weapon

The next break down (and point of discussion) is that the items are broken down by level. I *think* there may actually now be seperate item levels from the level to equip, but previously I functioned just on the level to equip of the item (which is what is searchable in the AH).

Listed below are the tables roughly pulled from Enchantrix (% are estimated to closest reasonable value)

Armor

Rounding the percentages and looking at the above data as a chart lets a few glaring errors jump out at me. Specifically that there is no Astral Essences on the Weapons chart. To fix that, I have adjusted my own calculators to reflect the following for levels 16-25 on the weapons chart.

Weapon
---------------------------------------------------------------
Equip Level Rank Formula
Min Max
16 20 25 75% Lesser Astral Essence x 1.5
15% Strange Dust x 5.0
10% Small Glimmering Shard
21 25 50 75% Lesser Astral Essence x 1.5
20% Soul Dust x 1.5
5% Large Glimmering Shard

Now for the higher level items, I think it is reasonable to asssume (in the absence of actual data to work with) that Blizzard programers are logical folk and would continue the patterns presented here. So I am working with the below for my higher level DEs.

Weapon
---------------------------------------------------------------
Equip Level Rank Formula
Min Max
56 60 225 75% Lesser Planar Essence x 1.5
20% Illusion Dust x 3.5
5% Small Prismatic Shard
61 65 250 75% Greater Planar Essence x 1.5
20% Arcane Dust x 1.5
5% Large Prismatic Shard
66 70 250 75% ???
20% Arcane Dust x 3.5
5% ???

Now, the problem with these is that I know for a fact that I have disenchanted things I thought were in the 56-60 range and ended up with Arcane Dust. By the extension of logic provided above, that wouldn't happen. Which brings us to the Equip Level vs. Item Level discussion.

It has been explained to me that the equip level is not the same as the item level in all cases and that it is actually the item level that the DE charts work off of, not the equip level which is how you search the AH. This presents some issues when buying greens off the AH to DE for a profit or cheap mats. Does anyone know of a mod that will display the item level as part of the tooltip? This would make a huge difference since many higher level items are going to be troublesome (for instance tier 1 & 2 armor will be higher than level 60 items).

I've noticed level 57 'outland' greens DE to Arcane dust... it is also dependant on where the item dropped i guess

It has been proposed to me by a friend of mine who I have loaned my calculator to for further testing (he makes more with it on his server than I do mine, the jerk! ) that any item added to the game for outlands will disenchant into Arcane Dust, Prismatic Shards and Planar Essence. The other idea is that your level 57 it is a level 57 to equip item but the item level is actually much higher (item level is viewable in the info provided by the full version of Auctioneer... don't know how I missed that). However, the item level for things can get really high (into the hundreds). So I am not sure if those items just all turn into the highest level stuff or what... I am hoping to do some testing today when the servers come back up.
