Old epic mounts

Just spoke to the wolf trader in Orgrimmar, and he had a quest to swap arctic or red wolf for swift gray, timber or brown one. Never heard of the arctic wolf before, so I rushed to google and found out that in some patch blizzard changed these ones to ones with armors.. WHY did they have to remove the old ones? I mean, the picture I found of the arctic wolf makes me feel dizzy in all of it's coolness :shocked:

Wow, that looks WAY COOLER than the riding sheep my Dwarf Hunter has. Yes, I know its supposed to be a ram but whatever you call it, he's still riding around on mutton.

I want a riding cat. Only five hunterd and eighty something stacks of runecloth to go...

I would love the old Elven mount. It's still in game, the Hunters in Darnassus ride 'em.

I believe they removed the old Wolf 'cos it looks kinda like the Frostwolf and Blizz had jst implemented that. I think.

Well back then the only difference between an epic mount and a normal was the color. So they made new ones, with armour. Some were ugly, most actually looked better imho.

The people who already had the old ones could choose whether to get a new one or keep their old one.

Yeah, but why did they have to remove most of the models completely? They could have made them new regular lvl 40 mounts :cry:

Bragging rights, and to give their long-time players a bit of an 'advantage' in that they had something that no one else could ever get.

Just like Blizzcon pets, seasonal toys and rewards.

I think its great.
