i've been playing for a little over a month now and when I first came across the mirage raceway in thousand needles I thought to myself, how cool would if be i you could actually race on one of those? If would be pretty damn neat if blizzard could add some mini games to add to the flavor. And i'm not talking about mini games were u can get from downloading mods. I'm talking about real mini games like being able to play tenis with another player, or go-kart racing or something (and allow players to make bets!).

My friend also suggest a casino where players can gamble for gold. Maybe they can add these in the upcoming expansion? Will it ever happen?

I like the mini game idea, but for some reason I can't see Blizz implementing it.

I imagine Final Fantasy Online has mini games, all the offline Final Fantasy's did.

There are a few, though don't expect a whole dash of mini-games, because it's just not cost effective. You want players to play the main game, not the side games.

Plus casino's got banned by Blizzard earlier (those were run by players by the by). Has to do with maintaining the ESRB rating they got. Gambling would push it upwards apparently.

wtf why would gambling up the ESRB? It's not like you're gambling for real money.

and how about making all the minigames as end-game content?

Having mini instances in the Inn's would be great, say four of you sit at a mini instance table where you all get dealt a hand of five cards, place your stake and play poker D:

good way to make some quick cash - all the while gaining rest bonus :)

Gambling is outlawed in many states. Even ONLINE gambling. There are many gambling problems...and they probably didn't want to get the lawsuit of "My 6 year old daughter ran away to Las Vegas!"

I think Chess would be awesome.

Good point, I'm not too clued up on gambling laws in the States, being on the otherside of the world :)

Chess would be sweet, and some reward items from consecutive wins would be even sweeter.

Yea. I definatly don't think GOLD would be the best solution. Maybe like a tabard if you win the weekly tourney, or a cool shirt or something.

Heh, even a +intellect trinket to show you're a thinking man and can dominate chess :)

I was thinking the exact same thing....but I didn't want to offend those dumb warriors....

Collectible, soulbound chess pieces. Each game can net you pieces and people can choose to "gamble" soulbound pieces on a game for a bigger reward pool.

Except it won't be called chess, it'll be called "Castles"

A arena mini game like the one in FF7 would be amazing. Getting to a certain level would get you money/loot :D

I can dream cant I....

But I remember that was one of my favorite parts in FF7

That's REAL money. They outlawed gambling of REAL money. You can't outlaw something in a video game. I remember in one of the Final Fantasy games, there was a casino in it and nobody had a problem with that.
