Hey all, quick question here! Ive moved house so ive lost my 10mb cable line  i wont be getting it back for at least 1 month. Weve signed up for dialup for now, but i miss WoW a hell of alot! I was wondering, does anyone play WoW on 56k? Whats it like lag wise?

My char is a lvl 28 hunter, and i stick mostly to darnassus, stonetalon and ashenvale, low pop areas. Is it worth me paying a sub?

Yeah i reckon u will be alright. If your on a PvP server and you get jumped you probably wont stand a chance though.

I play on 56K and I haven't had any real problem (except stupid Netzero disconnects after 3 hours no matter what I'm doing). Lag can be an issue at times, but other than IF, I've never had a place that gave me a lot of problems. Just don't raid MC (not that you were going to with a lvl 28).

Actually, a lot of IF "lag" is client side, if I'm not mistaken. Sure, you will get some lag issues, but I am pretty certain your RAM is the bigger factor here, so you will normally be alright.

I could be wrong though, I'm not a technical expert.

Im on dragonblight, which is PvE so im okay there  and your right, IF is mostly client side. with 768mb RAM i Lagged like hell, with 1gb, hardly at all. i try to avoid IF as much as posssible though. thanks for your replies guys! ill be back on WoW soon! wooo!
