Is it okay to mail items or gold from one of my chars. to another on the same realm?

Can this be a reason to ban me?

Lol one of the main points of the mailing system is the ability to do that. You can't get banned

Are you sure they banned you rather than just locked your account?

By "another", do you mean another player, or another one of your own characters ?

If it was another player AND if it was a substantial amount of gold, they might have flagged that as a suspected gold selling transfer.
That's another possibilty. :ponder:

Generally, all my trading auctions that are more than 100G do NOT go through the mail. I prefer to meet in game and trade there. That way there is NO confusion. But yes, sending mail to other characters of your own is possible.

If they are not on the same faction and both can get to a nuetral AH, put a light leather up for however much gold you want to trade and have your character on the other side buy it.

Sending gold between your toons on the same realm is NOT actionable...I do it all of the time, up to 500g at times...Whether this gold goes through the mail is immaterial.

Now, you can transfer toons, and take up to 5000g with a toon that way...So, even transferring between realms (using the paid transfer service) is not likely actionable.
