The possibility for paid xfer has brought upon a unique opportunity for us all. I am posting here to seek a potential unification of a few skilled, dedicated, guild leaders (or prior guild leaders). This idea was brought to me a few weeks back before paid xfer began. At that time the idea was considered and after a lot of thought we've decided to give it a shot.
This proposition is currently limited to (alliance) players with a lot of experience leading guilds in MMOs, particulalry GMs with experience leading in WoW. The type of player we are interested should be experienced, dedicated, loyal, friendly, leaders who are willing to help build up and run this guild. The guild will revolve around its relaxed and fun but competitive atmosphere. We will open this up to other players later, please read on to understand why.
The basic idea is to form up a new guild on a newer server. That guild will be created with the intention of competing in PvE on that server and worldwide. The guild will be formed around the 4-5 main officers picked through in game relations and through talking with the responders of this post. This post and the ones after this will also help us select various players for the guild (be it officers or regular members).
It should be emphasized that we are looking for players with a high amount of leading experience Who realize the amount of work it takes to run a guild and are used to being readily available for 30+ hours a week (and thats on an easy week :-) ) You must have experience leading 40 and 20 man raids and need to be up to date on all raid instances currently out. This is not to say that an ambitious, dedicated, and loyal player will not be considered, you simply must know what you are getting yourself into and be very dedicated to this cause.
This set of leaders will form a counsel and decide all the details of the guild before the move (server, loot rules, guild rules, website, voice server, etc). After everything has been decided we will post again and make an offer to other players.
Please keep in mind we have already put a lot of thought into this idea but any suggestions are welcome. The people that have been brainstorming have an extreme amount of guild leading experience. I myself have lead a guild for over 4 years and into WoW. I lead my guild through MC, Ony, BWL, ZG, and AQ20. I took a short break before
Naxx and have returned. Others that Im working with have essentially done the same things over a 5 year period. We meet the criteria we, ourselves, are looking for and expect no less.
Please respond to this if you are serious about becoming a partner. We will discuss the details more thoroughly as we narrow down potential leaders.
If you are interested in switching and joining as a normal player we will respond to your notices and give them the consideration they deserve as the guild starts to develop. Any ideas and interests are appreciated.
In summary, all potentials raiders should be able to raid at least 3 nights a week (with leaders requiring a lot more time then that) and must meet the characteristics we are looking for (friendly, social, helpful, possess a sense of humor, skilled, and dedicated).
