DMG and wep. skill lvls

Hiya!:wave: Does weapon skill lvl affect the amount of dmg. you deal? I was wondering because My mace skill is 98 and my axe skill is 90, but i do way more dmg with my mace, even though the axe has higher dmg values, and a bounus to my str. Also, my attack power changes for the better when i equip my axe... any ideas?

Short answer: yes, but not by a lot unless you're level 60 and fighting something higher level than you.

Your AP goes up when you equip your axe because it has more AP on it. If you're a warrior, it has more strength than your mace. Stick with your axe, it will be better than the mace once you get the weapon skill high enough.
