Hey guys!
This is just getting incredibly annoying, I want this thing to disappear! The only option I found that disables it makes it so that a popup window appears when I get an error message, instead of the icon...

Any ideas?

Stop using **** like Improved Error Frame and ever TRIED checking what the errors say so you can figure out what to do ?

Yes I have, but they all have to do with errors in line codes, I have no idea what I'm doing to actually go, open up a mod, and review the line and make any sense of it. I just want the error icon to disappear because I know it's beyond my capability to troubleshoot it. My question wasn't, "How do I stop all of my errors from appearing", my question was how do I remove the icon.
Please don't snap, it certainly wasn't warranted.

A long time ago I've used a FrameXML file that totally removes the display of errors. I'm not sure it still works, but it's a simple xml file and you can download it here (members.home.nl/wooz/ErrorRemover.zip). Of course you better use it at your own risk, as you will no longer know why this or that isn't working. Then again, you can always remove it later.

Just ignore Tuplad. He is the local flamer around here and enjoys snapping at people.
Even so his answer is correct. The MiniMap-button is made by the addon called ImprovedErrorFrame. You can disable that addon if you want. But I think you will find that it lives up to its name "Improved" if you do that. You will start seeing an even more annoying dialog box in the middle of the screen containing the error message.
The real problem here is that you are getting errors. Don't ignore those errors. Post them here if you don't know what they mean. Then we can probably help you figuring out which addon is causing it. Maybe there will be a newer version of that addon with the bug fixed. If not, you will have to disable that buggy addon and report the error to the addon's author.

Im not flaming, Im breaking clueless newbs down that have an attitude.
If you dont want to see IEF's button and dont see annoying boxes get BugGrabber + BugSack, when an error occurs you'll only hear "Fatality", in KeyBindings you can bind it to a button if you want to see the error.

Ok, noob, yes... Attitude, no, none here, so I'm just going to ignore you at this point. If you read in my post, that there is an addon that if I disable it, it makes the error messages go from the mini-map button to a popup in the center of the screen... that is when I disable ImprovedErrorFrame.
BamED, I will post the errors from here on out. I didn't think about doing that, I was always under the impression that this forum wasn't used for troubleshooting some other mod's error messages... I figured I would be told to visit their site or something in a fruitless attempt to troubleshoot the issue. Thank you for your help.

So what do you want now ? I already answered your question - if you dont want a button and dont want to see it in center of your screen: Get Bugsack.
