Mage Macro Help

I'm looking for what I think would be a simple macro, except I know nothing about macros.

I am looking for a macro that will alert everyone who I am going to polymorph.

/cast Polymorph()

will that announce who you are targeting with polymorph?

It will say in chat "*owlx iz p0lym0rph31ngz %t, phear!" where %t indicates the currently selected target. The text can be replaced with anything really.

will it change based on the channel i'm in or will I have to add /raid or /p for specific channels?

I think I'll do one to make sure everyone knows my Frost Nova is on cooldown

owlx: /em -> emote. GL making the Frost Nova on CD macro, you wont come with 255 letters.

Here's what I use:
Shows sheep by announcing target in either Raid or Party chat, and casting Detect Magic on target:

/script smsg="...I will be sheeping %t when we go..."; if (GetNumRaidMembers() > 0) then SendChatMessage(smsg,"RAID") elseif (GetNumPartyMembers() > 0) then SendChatMessage(smsg,"PARTY") end
/cast Detect Magic
