Hey guys, i have 2 accounts in my home and i've always wondered what it'd be like to make a low lvl char and just have my other 60 run him through everywhere...only thing is that the comps are far apart and its a pain in the butt to actually run him through anywhere.
I've seen some ppl talking about some mods(legal ones) that let u control to some degree more then one char...is there a mod out there like this? Or is it even possible to make one thats legal?

This amazes me, before asking this question - did you try logging on the same account twice ? You'll get disconnected on one of the computers.

I think what is he is getting at is that he has two seperate accounts on seperate computers. He would like one character on account/computer 1 (the L60) control a character on account/computer 2(the lowbie). However there is a serious problem. Having one character control another character constantly would be considered a form of botting and would result in the attention of the GMs. And thus a ban would result. You would be better off getting some of your guildies to help your lowbie. If you are in a good guild, you should have no problem finding help. And there is always bribes or blackmail

Ah, I remember the good ol' trojan days where you got the full control of someone's PC, good days good days.

What you could install a VNC client(thus making that computer a slave) and installing the admin(master) on your other computer and work like that.

I don't believe VNC will work in this fashion, i know remote desktop via windows xp will not.

Although it is worth a shot.

I used the follow char around for my wife's char, afk/disconnect times seemed to be too short to really get a lot accomplished.

You can play wow, in windowed mode. So you open up two wow pop up things and put them in windowed mode you can see both your characters. Problem Fixed:propeller:

Get dual monitors and you can even run one on each monitor in windowed mode.

Blizzard does not mind multibox playing. The only rules are that you must be in personal control of each character. This means that you can map parts of your keyboard to each computer for starting combat, etc.. Complementary mods (that don't perform automatic combat) for ease of target my target and following are not a problem.

Yes, I know that I am replying to an old post, but it ranks well and the correct answer was not shown.

Here is a site link that discusses it more in detail and includes links to official blizzard responses on the subject matter:
