I remember hearing about this some when iw as a warlock and ppl changing how their pets looked and then I just watched a pvp video where a druid changed his travel form and now i really wana do this.
Are there any guides on how to go about this?
One word: Fugetboutit. Such mods are illegal and may cause you to smacked by Blizzard's Banhammer.

couple things. I dont know what you're "one word is". It's all client side so no big deal. I have 2 accounts so getting banned is not a real big concern. And I chose to write here instead of the main forums just incease it is bannable.
now does any one know how to do this.

You are either dumb or very dumb. No ones gives a **** about your e-peen and your 2 accounts, I have 7 banned ones fyi, did my e-peen grow ?
We know it's client side, it's not possible anymore you'll just see black stuff. And before trying to post it at these forums or at main forums, try using the search functions.

ok im not bragging about my two accounts just saying that the banning is not a big deal to me.
also why not just say "It can't be done anymore."? that would have been the end of it.
And you are calling me dumb you are the one with 7 banned accounts.

The reason it's not legal to replace models by other is because although they are client side and it doesn't effect anyone else, they could give you an unfair advantage over the others. For example, some ppl tried changing the flag models in WSG to some Onyxia-type model so that the flag could be visible through walls and such.
And if I'm not mistaken, I've read in some previous patch notes that you can no longer override files which are found in WoW .MPQ archives so it might no longer be possible.
For your infomation 'Fugetboutit' = Forget about it, as spoken in some parts of the eastern US and in many (usually bad) TV and movies regarding the Mafia.
And as other have pointed out, it does not matter if the changes are client-side, they are still againt the rules that Blizzard has put forth. And you cannot get around that as to change models you have change the .mpq files in the game. Furthmore there is a program inside WoW.exe called Warden that checks the .mpq files before starting WoW. It will alert you to something amiss and give you chance to fix it, however if you ignore the Warden message, then that data can be sent to Blizzard and thus the GMs can apply the Banhammer.
So if you if you have two accounts. Do you want Blizzard to start IP address bans? That will shut down your two accounts real fast.

It has already been told hundreds of time, dummy. Use the search function before asking questions like these.
It's not called "being dumb", it's called knowing how to exploit Blizzard's code ... and get caught.
