View Full Version : New textures for ctraid group frames
Anyone knows any, im thinking along the lines of these although the author claims it to be xraid:

I would lke to custommize them even more though, most perfect would be like rdx frames but im not a lua guru :)

It IS Xraid, you dont need to be a LUA guru to do such things. If you want other raidframes, get rid of CTRA.
Recommend anything ? Im not at all pc illeterate but modding rdx is too much and your vague answer dosent hint me to anything else.
Nvm i got it. I was trying to use xraidstatus, since neither here or curse had xraid, wowinterface did tough, so ill try and mess a little with it :)

If you want raid frames with a high level of imbativity then go for PerfectRaid together with oRA(CTRA functioning replacement) and Squishy(Emergency Monitor).
Thx Tuplad exactly the info i was looking for. Although im kinda biased towards xraid than Perfectraid. Those look nice but one frame with what appears to have little space for customization is not good enough compared to xraid. Ill playt with em both though :)

Perfectraid doesn't need customisation, it called PERFECTraid for a reason ;)

/agree Banana
Mots: I had problems with XRaid freezing so I will wait till Moonsorrow puts a fresh Ace2 XRaid on the SVN as he said he's gonna continue working on it =)

Oh and by the way, if you want exact same raid frames but with more functions(?), then get sRaidFrames - didn't test it yet so cant tell you anything about it :(
Just wanted to give you kind folks an update :)
I am now using Ora, xraid (although ill check out sRaidFrames), perfectraid, Squichy and fubar. Replaced ctraid, titan. Played and fiddled with it during our last raid and must say, i enyoyed that way more than a silly 100 times over zg raid :D
Here is a sceenie of my current ui although Fubar isent showing and ive reduced the middle screen clutter somewhat partly by reducing font size of MikScrollingBattleText.

As far as the initial post about new raidframes, well im actually only using xraid as a way to check out group composition and a quick overview. Perfectraid definately suits me better in almost all aspecs so im actually thinking of quitting xraid, depends on that other raid frame though.

Yea well here comes the good news :)

Mind you, this is only in a party but the nice thing is, even in full bwl raid with xraid and perfect raid up, it uses like 5megs max more.
Note the screen cleanup, lot less crowded in middle

You should get rid of NeedyList, and what's that thing above the Casting Bar ?
Above casting bar is a little adition to QuickHeal, showing how much overheal there will be graphical.. Works surprisingly well.
And yea as stated elsewhere, Needylist needs an overhaul but i more or less only use it to see who needs buffing lol. Why are ppl so addament on getting rid of it ? Is it a resource hog or ?

Well, I dont like using mods that do the same or almost do the same, first of all it eats memory and can conflict with other mods. Remember kids, addons are like Windows, unstability ensured!
I have exactly 150 addons running and it only uses 30MB
By the way, get BlackSheeps to see who needs buffs.
Yes yes you are the guru master mate ;)
Ill try and upload a picture from fuill raid tonight
But ouch, BlackSheeps looks way bloated too ui wise. Ill stick yo needy untill better comes along, at least it dosent take up much screen realestate.

Hehe:blush: .

Oh well, Bartender2 will pwn Bongos anyway :P
Why is that exactly, they seem kinda standard ( like in very) and bongos prolly dosent use that more mem to justify the switch. Bongos on the other hand is a peach to configur.
Okay, note that its only 20 man though:

I cant decide if i wanna get rid of xraid. I really dont use it at all, but somehow it will be empty there if it was gone. Guess im too used to ctraid and standard raidframes :)

Bongos uses around 1mb and creates it's own bars, Bartender flips and turns the default Blizzard bars and uses only around 100kb.

Keep XRS, remove XRaid or get sRaidFrames if you want CTRA frames.
Meh, DUF is a whale.
Yup i know DUF sucks, but look how pretty they are :)

What I seen wasnt pretty, what I seen was 1/4th of the screen filled by some blue junk :P I prefer oUF2 or agUF, is real porn.
Taste, luckily, differs
I appreciate your help but please stop feeding us YOUR preferences and all those pretencious short names.
^^ that was partly due to a sucky aq20 raid :)

Pretencious short name ? Oh come on ... any dude that visited wowace.com knows what I mean.
And Im not feeding anyone anything - Im saying what I like in a way wether you may dislike, learn to live with it.
Im not forcing you(Im sure that was the underlying meaning) or anyone here to use what I use, this is a mod forum and there are no anti-propagandism rules that I've seen.
