Good day everybody,

I've experienced some rather annoying problem since on of the last patches, and i suppose that it's the fault of an addon I use.
The problem is pretty simple, i get random disconnects ingame. But only, and really only, in main towns (stormwind, ironforge, darnassus).
So... I hate it when i'm scanning the AH and have to start over because of a disconnect.
Had anyone of you experienced such a problem before too?
Since I really want to get rid of it...

You either have a sucky connection, someone else is logging on your account your router/modem haven't been restarted for a long time.

Tell me more.

i don't think so. i never get disconnected outside of towns or in raids for MC or Zul/AQ... just in main towns and my realm isn't that populated

It can happen that if you have sucky hardware and lots of mods loaded that your FPS drops like hell and you get disconnected(mostly in cities).

Give me more information.

sometimes it takes several minutes until the disconnect happens, somtimes after a few seconds. once i get out of ironforge (fron of ironforge, dun morogh) everything is fine.

Rofltehskates, you got some whales there. But I really dont care about your addons or specs, more about your connection and what's happening while you're gaming.

Show me something from your system log when that stuff happens - and when it happens, check if your modem/router is blinking.

my modem/router does not blink, i simply get disconnected.
"disconnected from server", at random times.

and... well, i looked into that event viewer. nothing there =/

or what do you mean by 'system log'?

Yes I meant the Event Log. Check every of them at the time you get disconnected, best thing to do is, put the modem next to you so you can see if it blinks like 5 secs before disconnect and keep watching it, if it doesnt - no idea.

It's either your connection or someone else is logging on. What other applications do you have running on the background ?

nothing's blinking and the event log is empty.
it must be some addon, since i don't get disconnects when going online without addons loaded =/
thought that problem is known...

Well - I see some whales there, but umm. Try disabling addons that work together with other users(like GroupCalendar and CallToArms) - that stuff.

And once again, which processes do you have running in the background ?
