The last time our guild was in ZG, we decided to give the Bloodlord a try. Ultimately our tanks couldn't handle it - but something interesting happened.

After our first wipe when we recovered and tried again, we go into his area and the imp belonging to one of the warlocks in the group runs straight to the Bloodlord shooting firebolts, and of course we wipe. Everyone yells at said warlock, she promises that he is on passive and is phase shifted, and he always has been.

So we all rez and rebuff to try again, we confirm with the lock that the imp is on passive and phase shifted. We go in again, and the imp runs straight in shooting firebolts at the Bloodlord, and we wipe.

We tried again and all the locks waited until we were in combat to summon, but that seems stupid.

Is this some game mechanic for this encounter, or a bug? Has anyone heard of this?

Bug probably. I'm not sure as I'm not a lock myself and most of our guild locks prefer to sacrifice their pet for a buff in fights like these (we clear BWL every week, so ZG is easy for us), but I've never seen anything like it happen, nor can I think of a reason why it should work like that.

This has happened to my guild last week. We blamed it on the warlock, laughed and tried again. At least now I've heard of this happening to another guild.

I heard the same bug from several warlocks and one hunter I know. Sometimes aggro doesn't reset after death. (Actually i think I know that lock! :P )

The hunter said he can do it if he summons pet, puts it on passive, then dismisses, then resummons, but not always.

They all also said they opened tickets only to be told it was "working as intended" /sigh. You know, when I did support, at least I said "cannot reproduce" when I closed a ticket, "working as intended" is just insulting.

I just had the same thing happen to me. My imp was on passive, and it ran straight at the bloodlord and wiped the group.

Rez up..Summon Imp..He does it again!!!

Then I got kicked from the raid...which I totally understand. I was in a pug, and they must have taken me for such a noob. I didn't even realise what the imp was doing until after I read though the combat log.

I've done bloodlord heaps of times, and never had this issue before. Hopefully it wont happen again. I was rather embarrassing.

Yeah this is a known bug... it will only happen when mando is sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Both hunter and warlock pets can automatically go for mando.

We ask that pets get summoned out of the room if we need them for the combat.

Hopefully they'll finally fix him in the next patch

Yeah seen it happen with hunter pets several times. Your warlock did nothing wrong... I suggest a group apology for the reeming he recieved LOL
