Hey,
I've recently picked up enchanting and have been starting to farm instances for greens to DE. I've done four so far. I do this while waiting for BGs to pop. I'm a 60 druid in a decent set of blues (one feral epic).

My favorate is SFK. It's a quick trip from IF (I'm alliance), the trash mobs give tons of greens and its low enough level that I can whip right through it. Oh and there's always a chance for a shadowfang dagger or assassin's blade to drop.

I've tried the Wailing Caverns. It also dumps greens lie there is no tomorrow, but it's off in the barrens, so it's harder to get too.

I originally was going to do the stockades. I figured I'd queue up in SW, farm until a pop, get ganked for 20 minutes, continue farming the stockades. I found this instance to drop very few greens... especally since the named bosses don't drop them.

I figured I'd move from SFK to SM when my enchanting got up a bit. I found that SM also has the lack of green droppage problem. There are a couple of chests and the bosses do drop greens/blues.... but the trash hardly does. Money wise, I can make a bunch off of silk drops. I have only really tried the GY and Library. Is the Armory or Cath better for green drops from trash?

What does this leave me? I'd like an instance a short flight from an allinace capital city. If we're on the eastern kingdoms, this leaves dead mines. It's a possibility. A little low level at this point for enchanting mats.

How about Uldaman? Would it be too hard to solo? It's nto too far from IF.

The problem is there aren't too many instances on klamidor from Darn. There's BFD but isn't too close to any FP.

Most of the Klamidor instances are down near the barrens.

I guess I could just buy the enchanting mats... but I figured some farming could help defray the costs.

Gnomeregan is right outside IF, I've never tried farming it though, so I'm not sure about the droprates. Seemed to be a decent amount of greens everytime I was there in a normal party though.

you dont kill the trash mobs, just go straight to the bosses.

stealth to the bosses in SM lib, arm, and even graveyard...

All will give you blues to DE.

Yeah in SM I've been just stealthing to the bosses (and chests). It's just that in SFK I get a quite a few greens by killing the trash. I had forgotten about gnomer... I never did it while leveling. I need the workshop key anyways... no self respecting key-o-holic like me can't be without his full key set.

Incideous in BRD?

I have heard that druids can solo him.

I used to solo Herod with my hunter. I would use careful feign-deaths along the way to him, training trash mobs to a 'safe' spot and then feigning. In this way, I could get all the way to his room. Of course, I only did it for a laugh because nothing worthwhile dropped for me there.

trash mobs in SM are worth it. Tons of cloth

For DE Greens, DM (or VC as its more recently called) grants you a ton of greens to work with, however they are, as you said, very low level.

The next place for greens for the next step of enchanting will likely not be on the same continent, until you get to SM+.

Stockades is horrible for gear/items I found, but easily solable and great coin/cloth.

Uldaman is possible to solo at parts, but I havent heard of anyone soloing the entire instance. Maybe just because theres so much trash to clear and lots of outlets when it comes to bosses.

Youre best bet is to clear SM for coin/cloth, and use the money to offset your mat buying cost...same effect in the end.

I'd say stick to SFK. I can do a full clear in there in less than 40 mins and come out with 2 bags full of greens and blues to sell or DE.

Uldaman is only "ok", I seem to get fewer drops off the trash. As a rogue I can clear all the bosses excpet the last (you need a group to get in) The only real advantage is you get a better class of dust and the artisan enchanter is in there too.

SM graveyard can be cleared in 10 minutes and always seem to cough up a load of trash drops (chest in the torture area is very nice with the blues) and the rare spawns are not that rare. The armoury, as said, stealth to herod, gank, rince and repeat.

And SFK, ofc. Lots fo greens to DE and some nice blues. On the older servers with a higher twink count assassins blade sells for loads.

at level 60 it is possible to reach every boss in maraudon without aggroing a single mob. As a warlock its possible to solo them all.. watch the maraudon for idiot video, its very impressive :D

There's money and lots of items to be collected from a run.. and quick too. you just need to devise a strategy for your class on taking down the bosses.

I was forced to go into Gnomehole (under protest) for the first time in over a year in order to farm the mechanicals for Fused Wiring (our raid was running low on repair bots). The place is still a turd of an instance, but I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of loot that drops. Half an hour netted nearly 10g in junk and blues that I either sold or DE'd. And the fact that it's one of the few places where you can reliably get a few Fused Wiring drops doesn't hurt either, repair bots are always in demand.

I farm BRD on my rogue. Lately it's gotten even better since you can get Dark Iron Scraps and Core of Elements in there. If your gear isn't that great, the best thing to do(as a rogue/druid) is stealth to the bar and use beers to clear the bar. I can kill 4-5 mobs on average off a single beer. The better your gear, the more you can kill in there. Nowadays I can solo Incendius, Loregrain, Stilgiss and Velek, dark coffer keeper, the Barman(Plugger Spazzring), Ribbly and his cronies, Hurley Blackbreath and his cronies, the dog boss(I forget his name), Roccor. Sometimes I clear the center area where you first walk in just to get the dog meat for cooking buffs.

I've never tried SFK, thanks for the idea

I also plan to do Gnome, at least on some chars, in hope of getting a nature resist ring from Thermoplugg (that is who drops the rings right? I'll of course check it before I attempt something)

I've seen groups with 60s wipe in Gnome though if they were sloppy and not serious, only due to the dark iron bombs. Those take a % of your bar rather than straight damage and since you tend to encounter the guys who drop them in packs, it can be real bad.

VC is laughable by most classes in the late 30s yet I always seem to fill my bags with greens for AH, but nothing sells for more than about 40s so it's not always worth the effort.

Scarlet Monastery, or if you are remotely capable: the first room of BRD :)

Incendius became a lot harder after he got the stackable curse, but seems druids can still solo him according to you. Gj :)

Mother smolderweb in LBRS can be soloed. You can even use sleep on her and HS out if it gets to rough or just sleep her to heal yourself if you find yourself short of a bash.

Lord Roccor (used to be a rarespawn) in brd can also be soloed. Stealth in and stand in the hole in the wall (the place you can see right into the lava). He does some knockbacks I think, so you might wanna turn him around...
He's not social with the dwarfs and that helps a bit I guess.

As for the SM gy you can run past alle the scarlet mobs without stealth at 60and look for rarespawns and farm kingsblood/grave moss.

Incendius is still soloable by warlocks. Its fairly easy but if he catches up to you he might stun or knock you into the lava.

From my experience, SM has been the most enjoyable of the instances. The Scarlet set drops all the time, which sells for several gold apiece (Chest PIece and Boots go for >100g), and I easily make several gold just off the money loot I get. Plus, if you have alts, the cloth that drops makes a nice present for that tailor...

Anyone know what instance is good to get drops that DE into Astral Essences? I know DM won't, and Stocks are crappy... would SFK do it, or do I need to do Gnomey?

Most fun to do i still think is tribute runs with only 2 or 3 people involved. Usually me as my mage (sorcerers regalia), a priest (devout) and a dpspally

Takes a bit of time to get it all done but the amount of books librams blues greens and even epic (treants bane) we got is reallly worth it. Also the shackle keys drop alot, giving u a free chance on an epic recipy.. ez pezy

Just get a beer and some crisps and your all set to go , its alot of fun with MC sheep repentance, and a real challenge of what you can do.

If im bored i run SFK a few times , run in spamming rank1 arcane explosion all the way to the door, kill mobs, do the same up till every boss. 1 Assassins blade so far, in about a good 70 runs i guess...

I went SM Cath recently with my Holy Priest, the mobs could be nuked down fast, but the annoying shield slam kinda spoiled it. Besides that, I could easily take three at once.
