The Games Convention in Leipzig gets underway tomorrow for a few days of gaming madness and Blizzard will be there to show the Burning Crusade. Unlike E3, the GC is also open to the public so if you can get along it's well worth it. Today the first pics of the Blizzard booth have surfaced on gc.blog.de and it looks like it will be as impressive as ever. Our partner site worldofwar.de will be at the show and we'll be bringing you what we can courtesy of their intrepid reporters, that's assuming they can fight the crowds and get some game time :)

Not WoW related but the Playstation 3 booth looks very swank in my opinion :)

Now onto WoW, anyone know what that creature is upon the archway, can't quite make it out? At first I thought it was a Nether Drake but now, not so sure, any ideas?

It's some type of dragon or dragon-kin as far as I can tell, and I personally count drakes as dragon-kin. Could be a Nether, could be something else as well, afterall Deathwing spent some time on Draenor, no telling what he left behind.

... Is it just me or did anyone else get a sudden visual of Blizz employees racing around with huge shovels scooping dragon poop pre-expansion opening?

Well, when you take into account that Deathwing is the biggest Dragon Aspect around, iirc anyway, and that would make him something like 2 to 3 times the size of his son Nefarian..

..........

Hope they got good medical insurance then, because I'm not quite sure their backs could take that type of load. Some type of bulldozer might be more effective.
