Just google for wow 1.12 patch mirror. I found a link to wowiki that listed a bunch of mirror sites with direct downloads of the patch.

I also did what Wotok did, just google 1.12 WoW patch and there's a bunch of mirrors you can choose from.

But how do you know which ones are safe?

Anyone heard of wirebrain? Are they good? Are they safe? will they steal my account and leave my troll nekkid in the middle of Ironforge?

I got mine from filefront as well. I tried downloading it with the bliz patcher, and it was stuck on 0% for an hour. It also kept saying that my firewall was causing problems, even though I turned it off. Finally, I just went to filefront and downloaded it in 5 minutes. Gonna have to remember that next time.

Under Blizz Loader Options, turn off the 'Allow Peer to Peer sharing" or something, that fixed my so-called "firewall" problem (I turned it off too) and I managed to download the patch.

I have always shuddered whenever a new patch is released, since I have never successfully downloaded these patches except through mirror sites. It was only last night when I clicked on the Options menu of the downloader and unchecked P2P that things finally worked.

Dunno if it will work for you...

Just use fileshack.com, their regular servers are fast enough for patching purposes. Been using it for quite some time, couple of years now, and no spam mails through giving them an e-mail addy either.
