As far as the already existing races go, don't count on it, nothing has been mention regarding it as far as I know.

Starshards is a Night Elf Priest racial, surely - not to be confused with regular racial abilities. And it's not all that bad, imho. It's no Fear Ward but it's fairly decent, certainly better than Elune's Grace..

Having said that, I seem to remember reading something about Blizz wanting to introduce class-specific racials for all classes - this is currently only implemented for the Priest class. So yeah, I would expect the Burning Crusade to introduce some new racials, even if Starshards is here to stay..

Hex is decent in my opinion. A few bosses (like Ebonroc) heal so it helps a bit there. Stacks with MS as far as I know. Jin'do it helps with too. But those types of bosses are fairly rare.

I like it in PvP too though. Nice for that flag carrier which keeps getting healed, or when fighting healing classes.

Edit: I heard/read (may only be a rumor) that there will be race specific spells/abilities for each class in the xpac, like how Priests have their race specific spells now.

I also heard that (whether or not they do it for all races/classes) Paladins and Shamans will have racials just like Priests.

I'm not sure anything has been confirmed by Blizz though.

curse of weakness? jeez...is there anything warlocks can't do? they don't have a weakness, no pun intended...

having not played a warklock, didn't know they had a healing debuff

Blizzard's people did say they were looking on expanding the racial differences, most likely by taking the idea of racial spells that priests currently enjoy, and providing racial spells or abilities for all the other classes, not just the Paladins & Shamans. There has been no mention, what-so-ever, about working changes on the current race-specific abilities themselves. All of the classes are getting a number of new things added to them, expanding on them, and among those was talk of race-specific spells/abilities.

No, curse of weakness is a Warlock spell but that's something else, and does something else (don't remember what, -damage or something).

HEX of weakness is a troll priest racial spell which lowers the healing on the target by 20% and does something else which is pretty minor in comparison to the healing debuff.
