Okay, noob question here but, as I've never used one before, how does one use a patch mirror? Does it simply install the patch directly to your WOW folder or do you have to do that manually? What happens when you start up WOW after doing so?

Thanks for any advice.

Thanks for any advice.

1) Go to the mirror (aka another website) .
2) download the patch (sometimes you need to register first before being allowed to dl but it differs per site).
3) Go to the folder where you dl'd the patch to, in my case that would be ZIP.
4) Doubleclick the Patch icon, looks like falling stars.
5) Patch will autoapply itself (just let it run its course).
6) It will now try to log onto the news server (which is currently down), just hit the play button on the bottom right of the newly opened window and be taken to the log-in screen.

The rest should be obvious.
