Hi mod gurus!

My newly dinged lvl 60, a mage, is going on my first serious raid ever this saturday, and so I need to restock my mod arsenal. I'm at work now scouting a bit for this evenings download fest.

So far I've been happy with just parts of the CT package, but now I might need some heavier stuff. Besides CTRA I've been looking at Cryolysis, which looks really nifty - if it works as intended I could have made good use of it from lvl 1, duh. ...

My problem is I need a mod for curse cleansing, I probably mess things up if I try to do it manually with no previous raid experience...yes, I might be a noob etc for that but so be it. Theres a version of Decursive here on the site, but I don't know the current "legal" status of that one according to Blizz?

If Decursive is a nono, anyone have suggestions for an alternative mod? It doesn't have to be click-a-button-and-watch-tv, just something to ease up the work and gain some control of the process.

Well, congrats on 60.

Cryolisis is great, but CT mod is crap, imo, use what you want.

A mod for cleansing, hmm ... Detox! Decursive is legal, but it's crap - Detox is more memory efficient and they say it's better :)

Also, you should check http://svn.wowace.com/files/ for some more sexyness of memory efficient bull****-free addons.

What parts of the CT Mod package are you looking to replace? CT_RA and CTBossMods can easily be replaced with oRA and BigWigs (get em here (http://svn.wowace.com/files/)) Just download the parts you want/need. The result? Raid AddOns that are CT_RA savvy yet far lighter on your system. And your Raid Leader would not know the difference!

I have not yet tested Detox (however I will be testing it the coming days) however I have heard good things about it. If you are just looking for an AddOn to spam (ie mash the button until everyone is clean) Remove Curse then Detox should work nicely. The author of Detox is looking to add the rest of the Decursive functions into Detox and the current maintener of Decursive seems to support this.

So I read this quite a bit about mod x being bloated, or y is better then z. how exactly does one go about finding out which is bloated and which is not. I run CT and don't seem to have any problems with it.

Also a lot of the descriptions of what the mods do on that page are very descriptive so I'm not sure exactly what these would replace.

Teksupport, Warmup(the info is totally fake, it just gives you an idea: http://wiki.wowace.com/index.php/Ace2_Memory_Concerns)

Great for you.

Generally mods that try to do everything or be everything (CT Mod is one of these) tend to be the most resource intensive. Mods that focus on one thing and one thing only tend to smaller and run faster. They also tend to have less problems come patch time with single mods. And if they do have problems they do not affect other mods as well. (note this is a generalization)

As far what which mods replace what other mods, post what would like to replace.
