You increase a computer's ram by buying more, and fitting it into the Ram slots. First you have to work out what type of ram you need, there are many different speeds, and latencies to work with, as well as the size. And what version of Windows do you use? Windows 2000 is different from Windows XP. It should be obvious by the logo it displays when it starts up.

You have to tell us what components make up your PC, who made it? Does it have a model number, what's it's processor? The motherboard needs to be identified.
