What level is Ragnaros?
The Windseeker?
The main guy in each city?
The final guy in Naxx?
And any other really high level guys.

for purpose of resist/hit/dodge/etc.. mechanics, all raid boss mobs are considered lvl 63
amazing how you turn threads into kcma threads
Also you can find a mob that might be lv 60 elite outside an Instance and it has 8000 HP, but inside an Instance or boss encounter they may have anything in HP..just a Blizzard choses. A Firelord at lv 60 might have 70 000 HP while his spawn only has 15 000.
And the guy at Marris Stead, though you can see he is lv 61 IIRC, can wipe a 40 man raid. I have seen it and it was not pretty. (Well..it was pretty, as he wiped an Alliance raid, muhahahah)
Other Bosses are unkillable, like Majordomo, Ragnaros will do that for you :)
The "skull" and "??" Symbol is only there to make clear you face somebody reeaaallly tough..and even if these bosses are considered lv 63 for game mechanic purposes, I doubt they will be soloable or "green" when you reach lv 70.

Oh I remember the good ole times at the diabloii.net forums where Zappafan was merciless and swift with is "ban-stick" ... or would just reduce your postcount for being annoying. No member..Gold Pal or just plain visitor was safe from it....

Yes, very true - even if bosses are considered lvl 63 for to-hit purposes, they can have vastly differing hit points and other abilities. It all depends on the instance in which it can be found, and the amount of incoming dps it is intended to cope with. So a 61 elite in UBRS, ZG or MC would be very different creatures indeed.
As a Mage I can solo some elites in instances, like those spider mobs in Scholo, but I wouldn't last 2 seconds solo against a ZG trash mob of equal level. Bottom line - level does not convey the full picture of how challenging a particular mob or boss is.
For this reason I'll agree that most (if not all) of the endgame bosses currently in the game will not be soloable by a lvl 70. Especially the raid level mobs and bosses (MC and beyond) will probably still require a raid or possably a group, although significantly less players than now. I doubt MC will ever be 3-mannable, but some crazy crack suicide Druid squad will no doubt attempt to prove me wrong :)
Finally, I did find it rather amusing (or rather illogical) that Ragnaros can literally 1-shot Majordomo, but a decently equipped warrior can tank him just fine :) All part of the lore, I suppose.

Blightcaller can be killed by a 20-man raid pretty easily. So can Roman'khan in Silithus.
Dr.Weavil is another story, though. 40-man raid or bust. That little gnome is nasty.

Hahaha..good one..but here is the reason: We killed his priests and bodyguards, while our warrior brings about 10 healers with him. I swear I hear Majordomo scream, "Heal plix n00b" .... but of course nobody is there :)

and then then diabloii became wwn, zappafan is replaced by kcma <3
but shhhh, keep this on a down low...

I heard of a 5 man Ony...is this true?
It will be nice to get some level 60+ people to help with the current 40 man Raids...I wonder how many levels you get form Raiding current "end game" content.

you don't get much exp at all in a large raid group. we held a bwl sale this saturday to raise some money for the guild bank for pots and one of the buyers was a 55 priest and he didn't even get one "bubble" for the whole run (but he did spend several thousand gold on transcencance drops and a lok'amir)
Mmm 5 men would be fun.... i've seen 13... but not 5 :)
5men should be possible. our guild run a 6 man. and that was in t2 and a few aq pieces only. with the right gear its just a long dull fight.
