Hunters and druids are still not released, hopefully later this week. I really want to see my druids new talents already, but I guess we can hope that maybe in the next alpha update that adds the priest talents that a early version of the druid and hunter talents gets added also :p

And for those stuck at work, the pics of the spells.

Side note, I can see some infighting ahead with the Warlocks on who gets to cast the finishing spell, this due to the soulshard issue and the consequences of the Shadow Word: Death spells.
Mass Dispel is probably going to be a favourite with the raiding crowd, as will probably Prayer of Mending.

in a pve raid, especialy a 25 man one (limited space), chances are the priest is healing and not doing priest version of execute. locks can get their shards
in pvp... well, in successful team games a priest is most likely again, healing. and in every-man-for himself games, i don't think either the priest or the lock have any authority to tell the other one to "cut it out"
Ho ho ....
Are there any petless classes left now? Mages summon elementals, Priests summon shades?

Paladins, Rogues, Warriors and technicly shamans don't have much of a pet as those totems are on a 20 min cooldown and the pet lasts 2 mins.
Eyonix also mentioned the Druid and Hunter talents are soon followed by the closed beta shortly after.

8 sec summon ain't that long and 5 min cooldown, I see it more as that barov trinket tbh. (hmm idea, use trinket and spell at the same time = army :p)
edit:
So now I had my coffee and had a closer look.
I like them, although the priests in my guild where whining all night long yesterday about how shamans would be better healers (right..)

Prayer of Mending sounds great imho. I really missed more preventive healing spells in WoW. Ever played a monk in Guild Wars? Monks have way more methods or styles in healing. Healing in WoW means filling up lost health points. I call this style of healing "retroactive healing". Guild Wars has many spells for "proactive healing" (so called protter spells). So instead of mending afterwards you try to prevent incoming damage _before_ it happens. Some spells in Guild Wars even convert damage into healing. Proactive healing is the only way to absorb spike damage. Take Warsong for example. Retroactive healing isn't a very effective way to prevent spike damage on the flag carrier. Currently the only proactive spell in WoW is PW:Shield. Playing a monk is so much more fun in Guild Wars because you have more options to choose from. I still prefer WoW over GW for other reasons though =)

Yeah, I'll agree - Prayer of Mending sounds like a good fire-and-forget preemptive heal, and I can envision circumstances in which this can be quite useful and also a bit tactical.
Healing in WoW is absolutely very reactive (or retroactive), and this adds to the boredom of watching people's health bars, especially in a raid setting. Time and experience will tell you how to precict incoming damage spikes and other critical events, and you would then try to stay ahead of the curve - but you're still just reacting to events after they occur.
It's nice and reassuring that Blizzard add elements like Prayer of Mending to the Priest class and basically being a bit more creative with how the Priest is supposed to heal. I'd like to see them get even more creative, and I think they pretty much have to in order to keep people interested in the class. Getting new ranks and bigger / more efficient heals will only get you so far, and I'd like to see even more tactical choices available from lvl 70 to 80+. Perhaps something like a buff that is automatically consumed for an instant heal whenever the target is the victim of a critical hit.
And the Priest class does indeed have a spell that converts damage to healing, i.e. Vampiric Embrace. You do ofc have to spec shadow to get it, though.

Of the talents, I really like Surge of Light and Shadow Mend.
"Priests only heal, don't waste time & mana on dmg" - SoL gives a free Smite.
"Shadowpriests can't heal" - Shadowpriests get their own heal.

Holy does get some nice damage boosters, and Surge of Light is fantastic in that regard - instant and free (albeit non-crit) Smite. The crown jewel of the Holy tree, though, is the 41 point one - i.e. Circle of Renewal. A 1.5 sec group Renew is just amazing, and I'm concerned it's so good that everyone will take it - leaving them 1 point short of getting Divine Spirit from the Disc tree.
Priests in raiding guilds will probably consist of a mix of heavy Disc and heavy Holy, and as long as you have one poor soul with [Prayer of] Divine Spirit, you'll be ok. Donations to refund the cost of Sacred Candles will probably be welcome :)

I WILL be doing a 41 shadow/2 holy/18 disc onthe way to 70 for hte most part. I'll probably be doing 20 disc/41 holy while doing 5-man @ 70 to gear up for the raid content. The top tier holy tree makes doing 5-man stuff down right easy. However, once we are all 70 and starting the 25 man raid content, i'll probably spec more of 50/50 split between disc and holy for overall heal/dispel power.

Trep, 18/2/41 was my idea as well for the grind to 70.. I like it.

After looking a lot at the talents, I can't wait for TBC. But strangely enough not because of the new talents, but because of the extra talent points.
An option for lvl 70 will be PI and Spiritual Healing (31/30). I will not go for any 41 point talent for sure. The one in Disc is way too much PVP-like and the Holy one isn't attractive while the pre-req's aren't worth it either imo (as long as the Empowered Healing doesn't help Heal, and the instant Smite is just too weird to trade it for PI)
For leveling Ill start with a Shadowform/Disc and then moving to a tri-spec aiming at 2/3 in Improved Healing and 5/5 in faster heals. Disc up to meditation. The only difference with my current 21/30 will be that I don't have Spiritual Guidance and Spiritual Healing while gaining a full pre-expansion shadowbuild. I can still spam Heal2 with T1/T2 gear I guess. After a while I'll be back probably at a more serious raid build.
Another level option will be PI+Spiritual Guidance+Spirit Tap.
Besides that, a lot of the nice talent options seem made for PVP, so it's not something I'm going to spec in, I only want talents that are both useful for Raids and PVP (Spiritual Guidance style). Therefore the only new talent I really want is Improved Divine Spirit.

I hate to be the bearer of ill tidings, but the threshold below which all spells receive a proportionately lower bonus from +healing gear and effects will be raised from level 20 to level 40 in the expansion. So GH1 is the new Heal2.

31/30 will be my healbot spec, an upgrade from my current 21/30

It's okay though....doesn't really matter because all of our HP is going up by at least 33% from gear alone with how STA is being re-itemized. Therefore GH1 will be a mighty fine base spell as Heal1/2 is right now. I'm just hoping blizzard doesn't increase the burst damage of bosses by the same amount. Might finally take healing from a completely reactionary field to somewhat of a proactive field.
Also, they said there is a TON more +healing on gear in BC. The priests will adapt and continue.
