hi, yesterday i was lucky enuff to get Primal Hakkari Armsplint from ZG, as the char that i got it from is newly level60 i havnt been able to get the required rep to complete the Mad Cap bracers quest. my question is, is there a way (apart from handing in coins) of geting zandalar rep from outside of ZG?

not realy, but the runs give great rep. 3k whit a full clear, i think. so run ZG a few times and you' ll hit exalted in no time.

Not exactly in "no time", from Revered to Exalted alone you are looking at 10-15 full clears, which will take between 2 and 5 hours each, depending on how fast your guild is. And that is AFTER you've got the gear and learned all the encounters to be able to down Jin'do and Hakkar.

yeah but the armsplint is friendly IIRC, and that is 1-2 runs, 3 if you are just downing a couple bosses. Or maybe 50g worth of coins/bijous.

Friendly is one run if you do a full clear, at least for me but I'm human >.> so probably 2

Okay..3000 rep for a full clear is pretty much right (went from 8600 to 11600 yesterday)... If you can do it in 2 hours, you are a truly elite guild and don't really need to go there...funnily we get like 3 or 4 bosses in the first 90 hours (and we do MC in 3:30..so no n00bs or badly equipped players here), but getting especially JinDo is still hard. Yesterdays run was 4 hours 30, incl. 2 wipes on him....

So..without handing Bijous and coins in, that is 7 runs from reverd to exhalted...and ZG resets every 3 days.

Rep in Wow isn't measured in minutes ;) It's meant to keep you busy after you stopped leveling, while your credit card keeps sending the monies to Blizzard.

haha..yes...minutes of course :)

Actually we have Luci down within 15 minutes after the first pull of giants..so ZG IS that tiny bit slower. Just feels like all the bosses are closer, but the mobs before spiderlady, raptor and Hakkar at the pyramid are a major annoyance with the heals or the sheer amount of spawns...

A reasonable rep rate for a non BWL guild is about 500 rep/hour in ZG. So you are looking at ~84 hours of work to hit exalted. However, the amount of gear you would have gotten from ZG by time you hit exalted puts the effort/item at a very good ratio IMO. ZG is a wonderful loot instance...and the equipment/recipes at exalted are VERY nice.

The one thing I like about rep based loot is it stops people from coming in AFTER the instance is on farm and getting tricked out in a couple of passes. Also as a point of note, I put 60 hours into AQ40 before I saw my first "real" item; my 7th huhu kill.

Blizzard really has lowered the bar for high end blues and epics for what is needed to get them.

There is

#1 -- Get a good group of 5 and kill the easy trash. Can easily earn 200-300 rep/hour. Sometimes more if you get a good bijou rate drop. Find a mage and go on AoE patrol with the lizards :)

#2 -- BUY IT. Bijous and coins on most servers are plummeting in price. Coins go for 1-2G each. Bijous are going for 6-9G. 1 Bijou = 125 REP. 3 coin = 75 rep. If you do the coin rout you will be spending about 80G per 1k rep at worst case (still cheaper that CC rep). So if you can farm 20G/hour you are looking at a rep rate of 250/hour which still isn't bad. If you know how to farm you can easily do 40G/hour which yields 500 rep/hour which is a nice rate.

Once again thinking outside the box FTW!

Do the coins have the same drop rate?

My guild trades "needed" items for Bijous. (I wish they were still doing Runelcoth for Bijous).
