hey,

I just wanted to touch base with you on something because I know that you have been playing for a long time and on several different servers.

4 friends and I are kinda looking for a new server on either PST or Mountain time (US).

We wanted to find a guild that was currently running MC, AQ, ZG, etc before we made the jump because we dont want to transfer and get stuck out.

I currently have:

60 warrior, MS build
50 priest, shadow/disc build (will get to 60 really soon)

friend #1 has:
60 warrior, prot spec
30 druid, dont know spec

friend #2 has:
60 priest, holy
60 priest, shadow
60 mage, frost
40 warrior, arms

friend #3 has
60 hunter, BM i think
60 shammy, dont know spec
maybe a 60 rogue as well

friend #4 has
60 priest, holy
60 druid, dont know spec

All of us are round about tier 0/.5/1. None of us are super uber, but the tanks can tank zg well enough (the other tank is rather good at it,) the priests can handle the healing, and the dps hold their own.

Anyway, Ill get to the point... are there any guilds that you can recommend to us on servers in either one of those timezones? (the reason why we want those timezones is for convenient raid start times.) We would, of course, like one that wasnt so super hardcore that they thought the game was a job, and were decently flexible on attendance (i got a lot goin on in life)...

so... what u think? I would appreciate any input!

Thanks man,

Gyoza

sorry to have to tell you this, but... all the guild i know are powerguilds. you've been around and i'm sure you're familiar about my feelings toward RAIDing.

i cannot be in a power guild because, like you, i have other things going on in my life. i cannot commit to hours of raiding every day. and no, there is no such thing as casual raiding guild. there just isn't. casual guild cannot go far into raid content, and anyone who wants to raid will eventually leave you for a raiding guild. that's just the reality of it.

and no, all 5 of you will have a hard time being accepted into raiding guild. it has nothing to do with gears (your gears are fine) or skill (they don't know that, yet, and i'm sure you guys are fine there too). and the odd chance that all 5 of u made it into a guild. dont except to play together for a long time to come. there won't be enough slots for all 5 of you.

unless of course, you make your own guild. but then again, you don't have the time to run the powerguild that you need to be to run RAID.

***

Barthilas where I am is pretty new. when i first rolled on it we have about 10 lvl 60s i think. and now, it's the same just like all the other realms. powerguilds eating up smaller guilds. and smaller guilds merging with each other to become a power guild.

RAIDing is not flexible and it's not accessible to everyone. my advice is to make a casual guild with carefully recruited good players. and wait for BC to come along when instances are 10/25. use the next two month to find ppl you like, and gear them up.

I don't know what Guild/server you want but KCMA has a few good points.

1. You need a raiding guild.
2. The guild you get into may not be the same after the get over the hump of ZG/AQ20. (Ony, MC, then BWL).
3. If you want control, you make the guild. (But then you have the frustration of managing a guild and trying to get new recruits.)
4. Apply to guilds on their websites. Check loot rules and raiding schedules.
5. Let me know what you find.

and if that doesn't work out Gyoza... join the majority of us who don't raid :p and end game content/gear will just have to wait until BC rolls out :)

sounds like making own guild is out of question for you... and to have all give of you recruited by the same raiding guild that will let all 5 of you play together is next to impossible =/
