I have been using 2 monitors for quite some time. The main is a 21" Dell 2005FPW Widescreen monitor connected through the DVI cable, the other is some generic 17" standard flat panel Envision piece of junk I use for thottbot and notepad.

I recently moved, and when I set up the computer again, I had trouble getting my monitors to work. I finally got them both up and running (I think it was a conflict w/ an old ethernet card I reinstalled w/out testing first), and now I'm having issues w/ resolution selection.

If I keep the small 17" monitor enabled/plugged in/activated, then I can only select 800x600 and 1024x768 resolutions. If I disable that monitor, I can only select fullscreen resolutions up to 1600x1200. I was running the game in my screens notive resolution of 1650x1080 for almost two years and never had this problem. My entire UI package I designed is set up for that resolution so now a) the game looks distorted and b) none of it works.

Any ideas on how to fix the resolution? I tried editing the config and saving the resolution as what I want, but it didn't work so I restored the config (it was backed up). I also tried a mod called maximizer, but that didn't work.

Thanks for your help. I'm waiting for a reply from blizzard but I'm hoping somebody out there knows a solution to this problem. The forums on their website are down, like ALWAYS (morons over there need to figure their sh*t out), so... thanks for anything you can offer me :)

I had a similar problem with my widescreen a couple of months ago. Some how, windows device manager detected 2 additional generic displays and wow was detertiming resolution based on those. I deleted both and the widescreen resolution was correctly detected once again.

If that doesn't work for you, I'd suggest deleting all monitors from device manager, uninstalling any display drivers, reboot, and installing drivers again.

Hope this helps.

Yeah best means to a solution...
Remove drivers.... reinstall drivers for each particualr monitor... delete any drives windows installs automatically (unless they are the one made specifically for your monitors....)

IMO: Might want to try to find a program that helps manage multiple monitors....
