I had a free trial account, can i buy the 60 days thing and put it on my old account?

You need to upgrade your account first. This is done either a) through the key, which you get from a store bought version of the game, b) or by way of the upgrade option in your account management, in which case Blizzard will provide you with a key as soon as you cough up the dosh for it.

Gamecards are there to pay for your subscription, they are not the same thing as a CD-key, and cannot therefore be used to upgrade an account, least not as far as I know of anyway.
