Hi all

Just a quick question on Mage AoE grinding, my hunter is lvl 52 atm, and a mate who has a lvl 60 mage has said he will help me level by AoE'ing a mass of mobs getting me fast XP, I know it will be low but if there are a lot of mobs being killed it will still be quicker than me grinding.

So my question is.

Where is the best place for mage AoE grinding, obviously would need to be quite sqishy with quite low HP and good spawn rate. I know the ghouls in WPL can be good but is there anywhere else?

Thanks

The problem with the timbermaw is they're overly farmed. They're a good choice for a little bit, but you'll quickly run out of them to kill.

I'm not a mage, but WPL is always here I hear people go. Goto the cauldren farms, run around on your mount and aggro as many as you can, your mage friend will frostnova and you two AoE them down. Your friend will do 90% of the damage, but it'll at least make you feel useful =]. I just hate wandering around being a spectator. I'd suggest the lowest level one... dausen's tears? I forget. Its the one northwest of anderhal. You'll get xp, rep, and bone fragments you can turn into more rep or money on the AH.

That's Felstone Field, and I'd recommend it as well.
Dalsons Tears is to the Northeast.

Just one request - if you go to the Cauldron areas, PLEASE be considerate of those there on quests. Don't kill the Lords, if others are there waiting on the spawn.

I had a HELL of a time finishing that quest. Each Cauldron had farmers galore, at all times of the day and night, and it usually took at *least* 3 spawns of the Lord before I could get an attack in and "claim" the fight, sometimes MUCH more than that. I think the worst was 7 spawns over 3 days, before I killed him.

The last one I did, I ended up working with a Tauren (I was human mage), we alternated kills and he got the Lord, then I /cried over the corpse and /pointed, until he /nodded and waited with me for him to respawn. I wish I could have thanked him better than a /nod and /wave, but that's all I had...

Heh... well, yeah, I think that's what I did, either a bow or salute, and a /ty.

What I *meant* to say was I wish I could have buffed him with Int, or bandaged him, maybe hand over some conjured water/food... Can't add him to friends, or hand him the unusable mail item that dropped. But all I can do is *emote* at them...

Probably for the best, as the usual Horde encounters involve rudeness, hence the reason the *good* ones stand out in memory. Same for my Horde characters' encounters with Alliance on another server, so don't think I'm picking on either side - just picking on the general jerks on *both* sides, heh.

I'm SO glad I ground out my Argent Dawn rep at Gahron's Withering many months before it was the "cool" thing to do. Free Naxx attunement tyvm.

wavsite, if you are a priest and really quick you can mind-control a memeber of the oposite faction and give them power word: fortitude
