Priest TBC Trees Updated (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/bc-priest/talents.html)
Shadow Mend changed to a 685 over 15 seconds DoT called Vampiric Touch. Party members gain 5% mana of shadow damage dealt.
Holy has clearcasting.

So the 41 point shadow heal spell is gone, replaced by a debuff/dot spell that upon application for the next 15 seconds refunds each member of your party 5% of the damage you deal... thats pretty complicated.
@rank 3 the spell does 685, so if you cast that ability only each member would get back 5%x685= 34.25 mana back over that 15 seconds... However I guess the idea woudl be to cast SW:P with 5/5 shadow weaving debuff, THEN pop this debuff on.
By my gorilla math if SW:P does 200dps per tick over 15 seconds that would be roughly 1500x.05 for 75 mana..+ 34.25 from the ability or roughly 110 mana in 15 seconds.
I didn't see a cooldown listed on the tooltip.. Theoretically if you could get this in twice a minute you could regen 220mana per party member per minute. I'd say thats pretty powerful.

My work scans for dns requests, so it'll nab it just from having "warcraft" in the domain name.

I think it's for any shadow damage you get 5% of the mana back, not just that one spell. So my paltry 300 dps in pre raid blues (which counts only SW:P and MF at this point) would be equivalent to 60-70 mp5! It depends on if there's a cooldown or not, if not, then this will rock.

Shadowfiend Info: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=31213713&pageNo=7&sid=1#122
At level 70 (and unbuffed in any way), the shadowfiend currently generates around 2800 mana over its duration. The shadowfiend deals shadow damage though, so it gains the benefit of effects such as Shadow Weaving.

1. Vampiric Touch is a DoT that also causes party members to gain mana when you deal shadow damage to a target with Vamp Touch on it.
2. Vampiric Touch has the same +dmg bonus as SW:P.
IE: Vampiric Embrace that gives mana.

Currently, the targeting functions in the same manner as Prayer of Fortitude.
However, as a side note we're considering going with a different form of targeting (since targeting an explicit party during a fight can be sketchy), where the heal would affect any raid members within 15 yards of the target, up to a maximum of 5 targets (prioritizing lower-health targets).
Real nice changes!

ok, to guide you through your fog.
This is an instant cast with no CD
its ranged targetting, not area of effect around yourelf.

I think I'm just having an attack of stupidity this morning, but I don't see what the difference is between prayer of healing and circle of healing.
Prayer of Healing (Rank 5)
1070 Mana
3 sec cast
Requires Spirit of Redemption
A powerful prayer heals party members within 30 yards for 1041 to 1099.
Range 0 Yards (Self only)
Circle of Healing (Rank 5)
600 Mana
Instant Cast
Heals target party member and other party members within 15 yards of the target for 475 to 525.
Range: 40 Yards
PoH, heals more, costs more Mana, takes longer to cast, and you have to be in close proximity of the ones you want to heal.
CoH, heals less, costs less mana, instant cast, and you got some range to cast that spell on the DPS crew without being in direct range of a number of abilities.

unfortunatley though circle being instant means very little +heal benefit versus Payers 3 second cast.
TBH was surprised at mana efficency of circle of healing, its really very good for an instant.
as for HuHu, CoH wouldnt be that usefull unless you were in a diffrent group. you would certainly have a priest 20 yards outside the Meat sheild spamming PoH, the hp/s is too low on circle to replace Prayer:
PoH: 1100/3 = ~360 hps +~80% heal benefit
CoH: 2(global CD) *525/3 = ~350 + ~18% heal benefit
sorry numbers plucked out of air there, cant be assed doing it proper, but you get the idea.
