How certain are these of being true? Looks more like a wishlist to me.

Nerf the 41 pointers, BM especially.

They are 100% certain. Anders is the same person who leaked all of the previous 100% accurate talents. He datamines the alpha pushes as they happen, as far as I can tell. These talents definitely are in the current alpha.

BM would be GREAT in end-game instances where your tank holds huge aggro, just a small example is a Garr fight, I mean +30% damage? That would mean on an end-game Hunter that would be an additional 300 if not more damage on crit normal shots.

Good news for hunters if these are true:)

So there's going to be a push into more INT gear after the release... Not sure if I like this or not. I do like the updates in the Survival tree though :)

Its looking like Blizz is trying to significantly differentiate the three trees... without making any of them useless... and these talents look like they may accomplish that.

Also Leviathonlx gave us steady shot aspect of the viper and kill command a bit over a week ago and he's be giving a lot of alpha info.

I'm leaning on the side of belief. I'll be one happy beastmaster.

I'm going BM too, but why would the Displacement talent be in the MM tree rather than the Survivial tree. Guess they are trying to balance the trees a bit.

The datamined priests talents turned out to be BS, for your information.

I'm feeling surprisingly positive about these talents after the wait, they must've spent alot of time on the balancing before release.

Good job Blizzard :afro:

Feral Druid + ench Shaman + BM Hunter + Survival Hunter + Warrior ... crits ftw.

They aren't live, but they are in the client now, which is why it needs datamining :P

Until Blizz releases it, its not true.

And even then, it might not be true. Look how they are made significant changes to the shadow tree for priests.

Its propably true, but not final. The shadow tree was true before and its true now, but it won't ever be final... even after TBC they could patch it.

I'm looking forward to dragonhawk pets. They look darn cool! Seeing as they get a species skill, maybe, perhaps, some of the neglected other species may get them too... Hopefully. >_>

Anybody got a pic?

Until Blizz releases it, its not true.

And even then, it might not be true. Look how they are made significant changes to the shadow tree for priests.

Except when people, who are known to be in the Alpha, who have posted content from the Alpha client before, make the post. Then, it is true, insofar as it is in the Alpha client code (even if it's not activated/live).

It still is true, even if Blizzard makes changes down the road. That doesn't change the factual nature of the information, only the current status of said information.

Until you presonally get to spec it, its not true. How's that?

Xlorep DarkHelm

Until you presonally get to spec it, its not true. How's that?

I know I'm going on a semantics path here, but that still is not the proper use of the word "true". It is true that the code for the talents is in the Alpha, it is true that the OP datamined it (or found the datamined information) and put the information into this thread. It is true that those represent the initial proposal for the talents & spells for Hunters in BC, put into the code by Blizzard.

It is true that it is always subject to change, even after Burning Crusade ships -- looked at what happened to all the talent trees after WoW was released. The word "true" doesn't even remotely apply to what you are trying to apply it to. And therefore, you are causing confusion in the discussion thread, because you insist on using a word that doesn't make sense in the context, especially after being corrected on a possible misinformation you may have had to the situation.

It is also true that I would love to be able to personally spec those talents, and test them out. That I can't do it yet, doesn't mean that the talents aren't real, it just means that the tool to test talent specs out with, isn't available yet, and that the talents haven't gone live yet in the alpha.

Silent Hunter is easily my favorite talent on that entire list.

(EDIT: Hooray! I'm a pal again!)

It's 99.9% sure to be true.

Considering some of those talents are insanely good I'm pretty sure a few are going to be toned down before it goes to retail.

Here is a Talent Calculator (http://kom.aau.dk/~simped/tbc/#none) if you are impatient for blizz's one :P

Seluhir
08-10-2006, 08:49 AM
using that calculator... the most popular builds will likely be:

pve:
41/20/0
0/14/47
20/41/0
and of course as we've all been anticipating 0/31/30
pvp:
0/20/41
maybe 41/0/20

worst talents ever.. and imp aoth got nerfed ftl.. for all those who are so excited bout out pets.. what if a lock comes in and fears ur pet before it gets enraged? then hell procede to beat ur ass and u have nothing to do bout it.. nicely thought.. and for pve its still crap, mages/locks and even shadow priests will be leading dps while we watch them pwn everything critting for more well ever dream of 10 times faster... hunter= not a dps class anymore, nor healer, nor tank, so basically good for nothing. but then again reading on ppl actually being happy bout it.. we deserve the nerf..

gl yall im /deleteing my hunter rerolling a shaman or something that can really do some serrous dmg like a mage or lock or rogue.. or anything thats not a hunter..

Mizuti

Yeah, that was the old model, based on the original concept art, and not fully animated. The animated, recolored version's now in place:

I don't think it will be changing much more...
