I have recently moved to the US from the UK and forgot to bring my WoW software with me. The only software that i can get hold of is the US version.

My question is if it is possible to install the US version of the game and access the EU realms or would i have to buy the EU version again?

I think you need EU software, but I've never tried it.

Yes, you need EU software to log on to EU servers.

Depends on what you mean with EU version.. Uk or Fr or Ge?
Latter two, no. UK.. possible, but it's going to take some work. See this thread as well (http://forums.worldofwar.net/showpost.php?p=3749727&postcount=5).

You might be better off googling for a world of warcraft, eu beta client. Because if you can find one of those, and simply patch it up, then you'll be booming to go and ready to hit the town.

Thanks for the reply, ive been told about that trick but it turns out Blizzard patched things up again. Guess ill search for the eu beta client.

you can log with your Eu account on US software. Just open realms.wtf with notepad and change us to eu...
When new patch avaible you just revert the realms.wtf (eu -> us). Then load new patch and edit file again :) (you'll notice when you can't log, servers refuses you for reason you have wrong release of game)

but its not working nowadays. And not gonna work till new patch released. Because europan servers have just released 1.12.2 patch for spanish users' server side issue. But US software hasn't special tab like SPANISH. So there is no issue and no patch like 1.12.2 for US servers :))

( And if you have solution please post here. I've just stucked and cant find proper solition. Because my internet is 3gb limited and already used 2,8 gigz :(( )
