My computer is pretty much horrible, but im seeing if i can get a new vid card, maybe some ram and if i can run WoW smoothly.

If not how smooth would it run it? On high, med, and low settings?

Specs
CPU SPD- 1.79 GHz
RAM- 510.5 MB
HD- 40.4 GB
VIDEO- nVIDIA 256MB FX 5500 PCI

My computer is around 4 years old and was bought form dell, and i dont have any other slots except PCI, therefor i dont know if i could just buy a new vid card, maybe some ram and be able to run it smoothly with barely any lag except huge populated places or if i should save up and completely build a new COmputer and not get an xbox 360.

Thx

Ive done that, but i havnt bought the Videocard yet, which is why i posted if that will be enough of if i have to get a new computer altogether.

Also, ill most likely get a gig of ram too

By 510.5, do you mean 512...?

If you just upgrade your Video Card, you'll end up bottlenecking the system at the CPU and RAM side of things.

The game will run, but it won't run at high settings, you'll get about 5fps at medium settings, and it'll be passable at low settings.

Kick ram up to at least 1024, most of us consider this the minimum required to play WoW without too much lag, that is lag caused by visual issues, which is often the case in IF, and thus leading to the infamous trench lag death.

Vid card, could use some juicing up as well, but to me, the ram is the major issue. (And I've had that issue in America's Army several patches ago, they upped the ram requirements for certain maps (SF Hospital was one). Only had 512 at the time. Map needed more, can you say slideshow?? Upped my ram to 1024 and it became playable again.)
