Noob BG Question

Im relatively new to WoW, only been playing 4 weeks, and Im a lvl 29 NE Hunter.

My question is, As far as the battle grounds go how are they set up?

Does each of the 3 BG's have multiple ladders?

IE
there is a lvl 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-60 WSG, AB, and AV
or
Each is each BG is a lvl range. AB 10-19, WSG 20-29, AV 30-60

WSG - 10-19;20-29 etc etc till one @ 60
AB - 20-29; 30-39 etc till one @ 60
AV - 51-60

I tried to clarify that with my guildies over vent but it only confused me more.
