Hey guys,

So, Im still noobn it up in Darnassus on a PVP server and my question is this:

When do u have to type /pvp?

I turned iton last night and it said that it was active until I changed it . .. that all fine and everything . . . but do you actually have to even toggle it on when playing on a PVP server? I thought that with the exception of the specific faction areas (Red). . . like if u r alliance and go to horde city you have to be attacked first (I get that) . . . but when if at all do u need to type that command? Green and yellow areas? I thought it was only on PVE that you had to toggle the command? :ponder:

On a PvP server you don't have to toggle it.

It auto turns on when you enter a contested (or enemy) zone, or when you attack the other side in a safe zone.

And it auto turns off after 5 mins of peace in a non contested zone.

Unless you have manually toggled it by typing /pvp, in which case it never *automatically* toggles off. You have to manual toggle it off by typing /pvp. Again, *if* you toggled it on manually, you must toggle it off manually. (At least that's how it works on PVE servers.)

I have another question on this topic . ..

I read, and was told, that you can never PvP your own faction (which is fine with me - i'm cool with duels for my own faction) I don't need to run around ganking lowbies (under 10 cause I'm only 15 lol) . . . is this true?

I'd like to clear it up so I know . . . ty!

if you are a druid on a pvp server then you are always pvp and can get whacked by pple. On PvE and you come across someone PvPing and you say heal them or attack the guy they are attacking then you are PvPing for 5 min.

i am on detherok PvP. i get whacked bye rouges a lot!

You can kill your own faction in the arena in STV.
