New to PVP

Hi I'm a level 44 warlock using the dem. build with SL. I have done zero pvp so far and was wondering if someone could point me to a PVP guide for a warlock. I've done some searching on google and cant seem to find anything. I have a feel I will get my a__ handed to me if i don't do a little research first.

Also was wondering in PVP are you grouped against skill level or stat. level or just the level your on?
